Guest guest
So here's one for you ... I'm looking forward to any help/comments you can offer. I've been eating intuitively for about 3 weeks now... and feel like I've come home... it's great and I love it. Food is crazy delicious (who knew???) and I'm starting to get a pretty good handle on my hunger and satisfied/full signals. I'm currently working on my past trigger foods using different methods, but mostly journaling out emotions and "sitting with the feelings". I'm not crazy about that part but it has worked on my ice cream issue ... now I can have it in the house and enjoy it when I want without going nuts, so things are moving along ... slowly but well. The thing I'm having trouble with now is that quite often I find that when I'm hungry I'm wanting breads or things like pancakes... that sort of stuff. I used to stay away from them in the past because I thought they put weight on me faster. Of course, now that there's no bad foods, that's what comes up when I'm hungry... especially for breakfast. The problem is that after I eat it to my full number, that is about a 5 .. ie I'm starting to feel satisfied and hunger is definately gone, I get this very bloated feeling after. The bloating goes away after a couple of hours or so. All the other times that I eat to my 5 level, I come away feeling great and actually energized. So what do you all think? Should I avoid these types of food or do I need to "get used" to them again? I'd hate to feel that whole "restrictive" thing again, but well, ...I'm confused!
