I just read your letter concerning your mother. My heart goes out to you and you both are in my dedications. Please send me her name so that we can add her to our monthly puja for the deceased. I lost my mother on may 17th of last year. She had spent 15 years battling COPD -- that is half my life. We had been anticipating her death for years as the doctors did not expect her to live. Nothing truly prepares you to lose the most important person in your life. I miss her every day. She is constantly in my thoughts. I have had a hard time accepting her demise, she was a strong compassion woman. She truly lived by the principle of what would jesus do. She gave and gave. I regret not spending as much time with her in those final months. But I have learned that we must accept our suffering. We must

acknowledge its presence and then accept it. It is not easy and it is a daily battle. I do not know if this helps but I do want you to know that you are not alone. May the love you shared with your mother surround you and comfort you today and always.MettaStacey "Happiness and suffering are opposites, so if something is a real cause of happiness it can not give rise to suffering." from Transform Your Life: A Blissful Journey by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
