Sandy ~

Please, Please, Please think it through very

thuroughly about dental implants......Do lots

and lots and lots of research first........Then

do some more......

Find out why you rejected your other implants

first......find out why you had so much trouble

with the other ones first......then do some more

research on it.

I know that the implants would be the easy way

less muss and fuss........but.......what would you

do if your body rejected them ? ?

Love

Patty ~

Ya know, lately it seems like while researching

when you try to find information, what you get

is advertising......not information......well, true

info, anyway, only info that is manipulated to

fit what they are selling.

When ya have a slow computer, it takes forever

to load a page, so coming up with pages and

pages of selling services, it is getting frustrating.

Hope you have a lovely day ~

Sandy and Dede,

I have had dental implants since 1989 with no problems

whatsoever. They are titanium. I am sure some people can react, but

I have a very sensitive system and I have not had a problem. I would

research this and be sure it was right for me, however.

Dede,

Keep looking, as I posted some info on titanium implants when I was researching options on my root canals. I would not get these unless I was ready to give up on healthy living.

Here is something I posted (message 111948)

It seems that there are corrosion by products with titanium, according to some recent scientific research. The body CAN break itdown, though it is generally more corrosion resistant than othermetals.I posted that article today about the toxicity of titanium. It said, as a final statement:"In conclusion, titanium and its oxidizing by-products are not asinert and biocompatible as once believed. Advances in researchtechnology are showing changes to immune reaction cells in the blood, and the lungs."

and from Message 111911

Here are some links about the dangers associated with titaniumimplants:http://www.holisticdental.org/titaniumtoxicity.html(Excerpt: Titanium has historically maintained the reputation ofbeing an inert, and relatively biocompatible metal, suitable for useas both a medical and dental prosthesis. There are many articlessupporting these beliefs, but more recently, there is scientificevidence that titanium, or its corrosion by-products, may causeharmful reactions after traveling through the circulatory, orlymphatic systems. These corrosion by-products can cause reactions inthe blood, fibrotic tissue, and in the osteogenic cells.)and from Dr. Hal Huggins site:http://www.hugginsappliedhealing.com/faqs.php3. Are implants considered a safe replacement for my teeth? As Professor Doug Swartzendruber of the University of Colorado oncesaid, "anything implanted into bone will create an autoimmunechallenge. The only difference is the length of time it takes for adisease to appear." We have personally seen numerous diseases with anunknown origin that may have been created by implants. It is apopular dental treatment, but not recommended for people interestedin maintaining the best health.
