Guest guest
You do not have to do IV chelation just because you want to chelate. The problem, in my opinion, with many natural products is that there is not research as to the necessary dosing shedule/amount/duration. There are low dose oral protocols using DMPS/DMSA/ALA that many people have found to be safe and effective. Dr. Suzanne Fleeson-DaSilva www.fcchiropracticcenter.com > > I believe it was NDF that as a group on chelating kids we had tested and it HAD metals in it. the NDF plus was safe if I remember correctly it was the regular that wasn't. so buyer beware! > > > From: nanzbier44 > Sent: Saturday, January 15, 2011 8:47 PM > To: mb12 valtrex > Subject: Experience with NDF or PCA for naturally detoxing/chelating? > > > > I have recently found out thru Hair Analysis from Doctors Data that my daughter is high in mercury and other metals. I am not quite comfortable in IV chelation and would like to go the natural route if possible. Someone had recommended NDF and PCA... can anyone please share their experience with this? We are also thinking of taking the Liver Support by the same people who make NDF. It seems that PCA has more to offer as far as issues with mycoplasma, clostridia, etc. My fear with these natural products is that the metals are not totally getting out of the body...and may lodge in other places. what can help from preventing this from happening? > > Thanks for any insight! > > N >
Guest guest
What about ALA (alpha lipoic acid)? I was thinking of using this but am concerned that it can increase yeast. Would NDF plus be better? We did DMSA a few months and I think it did help. We stopped because my daughter has been on and off sick the last month. I have mixed feeling about starting it again due to safety concerns. Hello My son is on NDF plus. My DAN wanted me to use it because he thinks it is the safest. It does not mess up the gut like DMSA. So we started with 1 drop. Added 1 drop every other week. When we hit 5 drops two times a day DAN asked us to stay there. It has been almost 8 months since we have started. I checked his Toxic metal levels after 6 months. Lead was dropped from 26 to 24.2 .. I do not think this is a very fast detox but I do not have courage to do the chelation faster since it makes my son hyper.
Guest guest
For what it's worth... We used ALA in conjunction w/juicing and supplements. ALA is used because it has been known to increase glutathione. (which is a natural detoxer). Our bodies have a natural defense and detoxing mechanism, by supplementing, you just increase the resources available to detox. When you juice you just increase the amount one can consume to help in this dept. (thereby flooding the system with instant resources.) I think allowing your body to do what it is supposed to do, is the best way to 'teach' it. The problem with that is time. When parents choose to chelate, it's because time is of the essence. We truly don't know how long it takes for the effects to be permanent when dealing with heavy metals, because I think for each person it's different. (as there are so many variables.) In terms of yeast, yeast thrives in acidic conditions. CHange the conditions, and it can't survive. Diet is the main factor in that. Choosing more alkaline foods over acidic foods (more veg than meat as meat and grains tend to be acidic) We too had yeast issues, but I always thought of it as a symptom rather than the root problem. While I 'treated' it, I knew the status wouldn't change until my son (and brother) started to choose more alkaline foods. This happened once we got our zinc on board and it started to work. They eat a lot of veggies. We used juicing as a way of changing the condition of the intestines. It worked wonderfully. I had just read that cabbage juice (4oz per day) can change the system from acidic to alkaline in something like a week (I can't remember exactly, but I do remember it was a very short period of time) I also made KimCHi which is fermented cabbage with lots of great microbes. I do think this combination was the reason I was able to get rid of the all the bad stuff relatively quickly. I hope this helps!! laura > > What about ALA (alpha lipoic acid)? Guest guest
ALA is one of the only chelators proven to cross the BBB if not given correctly according to it's 1/2 life you could end up doing permanent irreversible damage. > > > > What about ALA (alpha lipoic acid)?
