Guest guest
hi sandy; like this group a lot and think i've learned a lot. am wondering tho, re. candida, is there a way to know for sure if you have it if it doesnt show up on a blood or stool test? I am one of the few who cant gain!, but it doesnt show up on any testing. i do have food allergys and sensitivities, but dont know if this is due to that or just allergy. i had silicone injection, so dont have anything to test in that area unless blais would test the block (dont know if thats how he determines you have it). thanks much. gg Bindi N Group http://www.millionbabyboomers.com/baby_boomers_blog/2008/09/veggies-and-fruits-for-our-body.html Not sure if we all have Candida Maybe Bindi and others would like to see this site I need to call Dr. Blais on Monday or sometime next week Dr. Blais said we do not have Candida from the implants Dr. Blais said Candida actually eats off your food intake so you would be losing weight rather than gaining the weight Please give me your questions or debate on this topic I am going to bring this up to him again I know Dede will help me with this list I think many of us want more answers who are struggling with their weight when we were so skinny before the implants There are woman who have been following this candida diet a long time and they still cannot get their weight off Makes me wonder Sandy~ http://www.millionbabyboomers.com/baby_boomers_blog/2008/09/veggies-and-fruits-for-our-body.html
Guest guest
GG, I've heard that you can test for candida issues with a spit test--you can check it out on the internet. I did not have any huge candida issues that I am aware of. I just took the caprylic acid as a preventative and I have to be truthful...I have always eaten sweets at birthdays and other celebrations when I wanted them. I have not denied myself those pleasures, though I understand they are not HEALTHY. I just wanted to live well and celebrate with my family. I truly believe that getting healthy involves giving up junk foods and unhealthy foods, but I am saying I didn't have to give them all up indefinitely. Candida is one of those issues that is nebulous....doctors (MD's) don't recognize it as an issue, saying you'd be near death if it was, and other alternative doctors think it is one of the major issues that every sick person deals with. Symptoms are wide and common to other conditions. Testing is not adequate because there are hundreds of strains of candida, and everyone has candida in the body. The problem is knowing when it is out of control candida, or if it is a subclinical condition. I just say treat for it with natural supplements, watch your diet, use lots of probiotics and take precautions that will ensure control of your digestive system. Better safe than sorry, right? But when you have an out of control candida, it can be serious and it can take major effort to get it under control. I don't believe that most of us fall in that category, though we could be. The anti- candida diet is very strict, and I've known women that have had to take diflucan on a regular basis to fight it. I just was not one of those women. I believe that if we focus on treating our endocrine system and ensuring a healthy digestive system, we will be doing alot of good.
