As you know I am now taking GlucoComplete twice per day. I thought I would

show you my results so far for the past day.

Last night my glr was 169 at bedtime before I dosed 33 units of Lantus.

This morning my fasting glr was 103. Of course I took the GlucoComplete as

prescribed on the bottle. One capsule in the morning on an empty stomach a half

hour before meal.

For breakfast I did not eat the 60 grams of carbs recommended by my

indocrinologist for each meal, breakfast, lunch , and supper.I dosed the 20units

of Humalog recommended by my indocrinologist. She recommends I dose 20 units of

Humalog for bolus coverage at breakfast, lunch and 30units ofHumalog at supper.

Of course if you know me I don't like to be told what to do and when to do it.

So I didn't follow her prescription for 60 grams of carbs. I only ate 24 grams

of carbs in a blueberry bar and anodther 16 grams in a moderate size orange to

make a total of 40 grams of carbs for lunch.. About 2 or 3 hours later I had

massive low sugar reactions with shakes, sweats, and mental slow down and

confusion. I had this low sugar reacdtion with a glr of 83. So I took a five

carb candy and thirty minutes later I had a glr of 99, but I still felt like I

was having a low reaction. Besides the shakes and sweats I felt tired and

exhausted. Pre-lunch glr was 98. I consumed 60 grams of carbs, composed of a

peanutbutter sandwich for 26 grams, a cup of sugar free chocolate pudding for 8

grams of carbs and a moderate size apple, all of it for 21 grams of carbs and

lunch totaled 55 grams of carbs. and dosed 20 units of Humalog. An hour later

I felt much better, and at least I was able to think, something I had trouble

doing while in the low.

For a between meal snack I drank a Micholob beer 2.65 grams of carbs. After

lunch my glr was 130, which is quite different than what I expected, since it

was much lower than I thought it would be.

For supper I had the pre-supper glr of 130, and I took on an empty stomach the

GlucoComplete capsule about 30 minutes before the meal of two tacos for42 grams

of carbs an whole ear of corn with butter, salt and pepper for 19 grams of carbs

and an apple moderate size for 21 grams of carbs for a total of 82 grams of

carbs. Then I dosed 30 units of Humalog. Two and a half hours later my glr was

202, at bedtime I dosed 33 units of Lantus.

This morning my fasting glr was 126. So now another day of record keeping. The

only difference this time will be I will try to follow the indocrinologist's

recommendations as closely as possible.
