Guest guest
At the end is a link to an article discussing the subject. First some background information. The advantage of exercise is not in calories used but in priming the cells to become much less resistant to insulin. Then insulin can be used much more effectively all the time. It also produces more muscles cells which advantage is outlined below. When one exercizes at a moderate to hard rate we have about 7 minutes of stored glucose in muscles for the work. After that it starts removing glucose from the blood to replenish what it needs. This is done without insulin, the glucose goes directly into muscle cells but not fat cells. The last a good reason to reduce fat cells among sevral other reasons. Here is an easy to read article discussing which kind of exercise and in what amount has the best results. One point worth repeating from it, exercize can have a better result in reducing glucose then drugs alone. http://www.healthcentral.com/diabetes/c/17/137741/exercise-control XB IC|XC
