Guest guest
I have that horrible numbness too, from the neck down. I spent alot of time in hospitals, rehab and therapy. Its great you have support from Debbi and she has your support too. It makes all the difference to have someone who can relate. That's another reason I like it here, someone always understands what you're going through. Welcome Debbie! Jolie > > > Debbie, > Glad Debbi told you about us. Guest guest
Dear Kate, Thank you for sharing this sad time of your life. September 11th will be the 2 year commemoration for my husband. I will be thinking and praying for you and your family, while we have our little service of remembrance too. May God Bless you all and comfort you with happy memories of his life on earth. Guest guest
Thank you to all who responded to my feeling of being " overwhelmed " ! You are so helpful and knowledgeable! I will have a look at the sites you provided and get my head around a few things. Also, the books look like good reads. I looked at the symptoms of PANDA and I realize there are some similarities (especially with the scarlet fever), except he is not clingy (always pushing his boundaries with me!)and he does not have any tics or OCD behaviors. The information about the heart is incredible (and scary!) I do know there is a HUGE difference in my older son when he is off wheat, more focused and a LOT less emotional/impulsive/tendency to lie etc. I have not seen the same " result " with my 8 year old, but that may be because he " sneaks " his Dad's wheat bread unbeknown to me! Maybe I need dead locks for the bread too? How do I get the GCF diet to work with my 8 year old when Dad insists on having these foods on hand for his wants and needs? I have tried to explain to my 8 year old that he is better off without them, but he knows they taste so good! My 14 year old understands and has the will power, plus he KNOWS how much better he feels without them! I swear my husband would feel so much better without them too, but is unwilling to forgo them at this point, and don't even mention trying to take away his potatoes! I know I need to get my 8 year old to a DAN doctor and have him evaluated, especially for allergies to know exactly what triggers him. Keep up the great work everyone, you are all an integral part of piecing these clues together for the common good of kids everywhere.
