Guest guest
Sandy, Hydrochloric acid supplements can be found at the health food store, and on the internet. Bloating can be a symptom of low stomach acid. Low stomach acid is a (usually) neglected concern in aging and environmental stress, resulting in less nutrient absorption. From the internet: Betaine HCl, when combined with the proteolytic enzyme Pepsin, produces a powerful digestive aide. It supports the normal digestive function of the stomach and enhances the efficiency of nutrient absorption from the foods we eat. In the stomach, hydrochloric acid converts pepsinogen to pepsin, an enzyme that breaks down proteins into smaller substances that may be more easily absorbed by the body. Environmental stress, eating too quickly and natural aging can all impact the body's ability to properly digest the food we eat. Digestive problems surface when the body does not produce enough stomach acid. When food stays in the stomach too long, it can cause a variety of digestive woes including heart burn, acid reflux, gas and bloating. " Sandy, I'm thinking that if you have not used these before, and you have significant digestive issues still, it's a possibility that this may help. I am using these, and I bought mine locally at my nearest vitamin store. As for the Bio-identical hormones, your insurance should cover your doctor visits.
