Guest guest
,Do you know if the capsules were removed during explant? . . . Check your post-op report for "capsulectomy". If an incision was made and the implants popped out, the capsules weren't removed. If you still have symptoms, and still have capsules, you may need to have those removed before you can start feeling better.Think of retained capsules as a factory producing toxins on a regular basis. Guest guest
My Dear : When I went to have my capsules removed, I have a scar too. The plastic surgeon ran into some problems, and he did not remove the garbage from my chest. He found a large seroma in my left breast that he had to remove along with most all of my left breast. We know that they were worried, because they had to give me more anesthesia to clean up the mess when the seroma broke. I am still sick, because he did not clean out the capsules. When implants are put under the muscle, it is more difficult to remove the capsules. Honey, even if your plastic surgeon did clean you our, it still takes a long time to heal for some women. On the surgical report it said total Mastectomy in my case? I still have that report. Sending love and hope...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Re: Hi Girls...Please Reply --Thanks for the reply, oh yes my capsules were removed. Guest guest
, My suggestion is to get the book " Breakthrough " or Ageless by Suzanne Somers and work with your doctor to balance your hormones. If you are still dealing with a few remaining symptoms, my guess is that this is where the problem lies. Patty > > I got a new GP doctor, one that really listens...what test can I ask her to do , how do I explain what I have ? I had my explant 9/2006 and I still have those weird pains in legs, neck, breast , hands etc...they come and go, some days are worse than others some days I'm almost fine. How do I explain this to her so maybe she can get me on the right track ? Thanks again >
Guest guest
, I should expound on my suggestion.... Most doctors are not very well informed about the proper way to balance hormones. You don't just want your hormones in " normal " ranges...you want them in optimal ranges. The endocrine system is like a finely tuned orchestra. When one section is out of balance, the whole song is out of tune. Balancing hormones can work tremendously to give you energy, make you feel good, and keep your brain, heart and everything else working smoothly. This is cutting edge medicine, and most doctors do not understand the need to balance the hormones fully. But for the men and women who do make the effort to seek out those doctors who will work with them and attend to this very important aspect of our health, they are greatly rewarded! There are references in the book for doctors in your area and around the country who understand the need for proper use of hormones. These are BIO-IDENTICAL hormones, not the fake synthetic stuff that causes cancer and other health issues. BIO-IDENTICAL is very important! I'm using them and it has made a big difference for me. Guest guest
No ,Retained capsules aren't the only reason for continuing symptoms. . . They are the place to start though. Thank God you had your capsules removed. . . Now it's a matter of trying various detox programs until you find the one that works.Following a very healthy diet is essential. NO sugar, processed food, deep fried foods, minimal grain . . . If you're following a poor diet, you'll find it easier to ease into a healthy way of eating because you'll want to make it your life style. If you try to do it abruptly, you'll probably give up in frustration. Antifungals and probiotics are also an important part of healing. Then start looking a ways to remove toxins from your body . . . detox baths, sweat therapies, liver/gall bladder flushes, parasite cleanses, ionic foot baths . . . the list goes on and on . . . Just take one thing at a time. You'll get there. It generally takes a lot more time than we'd like, regardless.Hugs,Rogene
Guest guest
~ It almost sounds like you are having flares of something......I doubt if it is the pain meds. Please journal what you are eating and how you feel. Do this over a period of time, then look at it and see if you find a pattern. Write down what you eat, and what you feel physically, and emotionally. Do you drink alcohol ? ? I know beef makes my arthritis worse the next day after eating it, one gal found that on the day she ate eggs for breakfast, that afternoon, she was always emotional. I hope this helps you find a pattern. Hugs Dede**************New MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination. Dining, Movies, Events, News & more. Guest guest
, If your report says that the capsules are gone, then I would not worry about that anymore. Time to move forward on getting to the real culprit of the problem. If you read my previous response, then please check into your hormone levels to make sure you are at optimal with those. Hormones are a greatly neglected issue for so many, and this would include the thyroid, adrenal, and sex hormones. You can feel much better and it helps reading testimonies from other women who have gotten better. If you have fibromyalgia, this can be overcome! We've had women tell us that they've done it and what they did. You can find the messages in the archives. One additional thing, if you are low in B-12, is to supplement with hydrochloric acid...I've recently posted some info that suggests that low stomach acid is a problem for many women with autoimmune disease, and if you are low in B12, this is another indication. Hope that helps. Check out some books on bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for more info on this subject. Suzanne Somers books are good. Guest guest
, A mammogram will not show residual capsules. About the only way to know for sure is to open you up. That is why I said, if the operative report discusses how the surgeon cut around the perimeter of the capsule to completely excise it, then I would not worry about it. What does your report say? You can get a GP to run hormone tests, but you need an expert on hormones, with an understanding of the proper interpretations, to be treated properly. Just like we have recommended doctors who work with us on proper explant, there are recommended doctors who work with you on hormones. You can call them and ask if the doctor is familiar with treatment using bioidentical hormones. If they hedge and are not too sure, then don't waste your time with them.
