A MESSAGE FROM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ!!!!!

I received this email today:

Barring any technical solutions, perhaps you could appeal to all Ozians to

please, please trim the message history below when responding to a thread?

I usually leave the individual message I'm responding to, as my message

alone might not make sense in a vacuum, and sometimes even keep one or two

messages before that when there's a real reason to. Otherwise, I clip

everything else, but it doesn't seem like too many other users do.

I ask because it's a recurring problem that posters read a response, reply

with their own 2 cents at the top, and reproduce the entire thread in the

message below. It makes individual posts ridiculously large, and digests

very difficult to navigate. Worse, there does appear to be a limit on the

size of the digest posts, so I'll often get daily digests that list a couple

dozen messages at the top that are supposed to be included, but only about

one-third of those messages actually are.

SO PLEASE TRIM YOUR POSTS OR I WILL SEND THE FLYING MONKEYS!
