Guest guest
Did my chemo today, almost ended up in the hospital for blood transfusions. Very low red blood counts. If I had been having problems with breathing, I would, right this minute, be in the hospital getting a transfusion. Low white blood counts also. Tomorrow I have to go back and get a shot of Neulasta for the white blood counts. I have to watch for problems with breathing, because if that happens, I will have to go in for transfusions. I am very tired and very weak. I am unsure how much I can get done of the chores I need to do. Probably not much. I will be spending a lot of time in bed. I do get a week off from treatment so hopefully the blood counts will rebound. My next treatment is scheduled for two weeks from today. I am relieved to have a break in the schedule. I hope my energy level will be higher by the end of the two weeks. Not much else to report this week. Lynda
Guest guest
Hi Lynda, Thanks for keeping us updated. You've always been an inspiration to me, and you continue to do just that. I do hope that you're feeling well enough to go visit your sister. My sister is currently getting chemo for her Multiple Myeloma, and she just had her own stem cells put back into her body. She had to have her treatment in the hospital, and she's been there two weeks so far, but her white count is rising so she may be able to leave there next week. It's upsetting that I haven't been able to go to Boston to see her because I started a new job and don't have vacation time, and I've been in school for three full weekends. Hopefully I can get up to see her next weekend. Sis > > Chemo is delayed for a week because my blood counts are too low. Guest guest
Wow Sis, Seems like so many of us are going through so much. Hope your sister is out soon, and maybe she can come visit you!!!!!!!! I don't think Hawaii is going to happen this January or Feb. unless the chemo is very successful. I may have radiation to follow. Maybe, though, think positive! Love, Lynda At 05:37 AM 10/18/2008, you wrote: >Hi Lynda, > >Thanks for keeping us updated.
