Guest guest
Hey Paddy, Here's what I do know: women who have had breast implants have indeed suffered respiratory illnesses. There is also concern that the weight of implants can cause deformity in the chest wall. We, in fact, have some X-Ray pictures of heavy implants that have done that to a woman in our photo section. See it here: http://health.ph./group/ /photos/view/83ce?b=3 If you look closely, you will see how the ribs have been compressed. The extreme fatigue you feel is not likely from a lack of blood flow, (though I wouldn't discount that completely) but rather from an adrenal exhaustion, thyroid exhaustion, and immune system dysfunction, or all three possibly. I believe the endocrine system is greatly affected. You know how you feel so tired and drained when you have a severe case of the flu....it is the immune system struggling under the weight of the illness. The adrenal hormones are very intimately involved with our immune system. Many women who are sick with implants experience constant " flu-like " symptoms. For me, the fatigue was overwhelming. I would take a nap and feel just as horrible as when I laid down...didn't feel a smidgen better, and it went on for months and months even after I got the implants out. You must realize the importance of being patient as your body gets better...it took me over 4 years to heal. It is definitely not like pulling a bad tooth. It is a much more complex healing process. I want to encourage you about your healing chances, but also give you a reality check that it takes quite some time to overcome all of these mysterious health issues. It would be so nice if our doctors really truly understood this illness, but most do not, and that is a great tragedy. Stay close and we will try to give you strength and compassion and support as you try to navigate these new waters....I do believe God has led you here. Have hope!
