Guest guest
From: karenattho@... Hi Ilena - Last December I had surgery to remove my 30-year-old silicone implants. They had extracapsular ruptured. It's now been 10 months and I have several problems but I can't tell if it's due to menopause, arthritis, etc. Can you recommend a good link to where I can find information on what to expect? Thank you for your assistance! From: Ilena Rose <ilena.rose@...> I'd like to ask our group .... is that alright with you? Maybe you'd like to describe your symptoms and we can ask our group ... I can't think of a particular study or article to answer your question. Best from Ilena From: <karenattho@...>Sure - thanks for asking. Please share with whomever you'd like. New things I didn't have before: Difficulty swallowing food - need drink to help get it down Painful joints all over Swelling of knees Memory problems - sounds normal, but it's much more pronounced (where you can't put a name to something or your words come out mixed up and it takes effort to say it correctly) Thanks for your assistance! -- Ilena's Health Lover Blog <http://ilenarose.blogspot.com> Breast Implant Awareness Blog <http://breastimplantawareness.blogspot.com>
Guest guest
My Dear : Welcome to this wonderful group of supportive women. I have all of the same symptoms as you, except the swallowing. I have never had a difficult time swallowing; however, I do have GERD. My left knee is very swollen, and I will be having surgery soon. I also have severe joint pain, and low back pain, and I have a damaged chest wall from my ruptured silicone breast implants. There is an article called "Destructive Arthritis Due to Silicone, a Foreign Body Reaction" that I will send to you. I am so sorry that you too are suffering from Silicone Poisoning. Thirty years is a long time to have these faulty devices in your body. It will take some time, but you will get through this. We will all be here for you if you have more questions. My memory is poor, but I am very busy doing research, and that helps to make my brain stay young. I always call the fridge, the stove and vice versa. Stay close...love always....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`` Question for Group from ...
