Guest guest
Sandy, Juicing is really pretty simple, and I am glad you want to start doing this. If you have a good juicer, you can juice almost anything. I use a twin gear juice (Green Life) A good rule of thumb is to not mix fruits and vegetables. That is, just juice only veggies with other veggies, and fruits alone. You can have alot of digestive upset by combining the two. There is one exception, however, and that is carrot/apple. This is a very common combination and one you might want to start with. My husband adds celery or spinach to his carrot/apple. There is a good mix of veggies that tastes like V8, and it includes (in descending order): tomatoes carrots celery parsley cucumber green pepper spinach I use the pulp in my garden as compost. I have also used the carrot pulp in meatloaf to stretch the venison. I do use chlorine bleach to clean my juicer parts...just rinse well! I think juicing will be a great therapy for you, and if you have fibro I think it will help greatly. Detoxing is the key.
