Guest guest
Morning is my favorite time of day. When the rest of my family heads out the door, I have the house to myself. Except that I am never alone. I head right to The Throne Room, the "Holy Holy" as Beth calls it. It is a place where I can meet with God at my kitchen table, and disappear for about an hour of intimacy with the One Who knows me, loves me, cares for me, and guides me, before I start my day. This time is the most special time of my day, and indeed, when I miss it, it is MY great loss. God promised to meet with us...He is Immanuel "God With US", and you can have your own throne room of grace in your home, where you can meet with God in prayer and feel His tender mercies.Cece Winans has a beautiful song about the Throne Room. Let me share it with you.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTbkCpEFobEWelcome to the Throne Room Welcome to the place where it all got started Bow down in His presence and worship Him Welcome to the Throne Room Beyond the veil only those who know and love Him Come boldly before His throne And cry holy, holy, holy, holy Cry out holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty Which was, and is, and is to come Welcome to the Throne Room Welcome to the place where He shows His face Oh, worship in spirit and in truth Welcome to the Throne Room Welcome to the place where it all got started Bow down (bow down) And cry holy, holy, holy, holy Cry out holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty Which was, and is, and is to come Welcome to the Throne RoomYesterday in my study of the Scriptures, Beth took us to the Throne Room, and even has us draw the picture of the vision of in Revelation 4....an exercise that was amazing. I am a person who can create mind pictures very easily when reading and....let me just share it with you! Maybe you can draw your own picture. This is our God, who LOVES us beyond all measures, who is our peace, our joy, our wisdom, our redemption, our Great Physician and Healer, and Lord of all the earth. He reaches out His hand toward us, and through Jesus and the blood of His sacrifice, the Lamb of God, we are accepted, redeemed, loved, adopted, cherished and treasured. These are God's promises! If you need something you can stand firmly upon in this life, you have God's promises of complete redemption. Heaven is our ultimate home. And we can get glimpses of it, through the revelations given to us in Scripture. Yes, we have to live through this life now, with its pain and trouble, but right NOW, this moment, you can have peace through Christ. He is Mighty to save.Isaish 6: 1-4 (Isaiah's vision)In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." 4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. Ezekiel 1: 22-28 (Ezekiel's vision) 22 Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome. 23 Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body. 24 When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, [a] like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings. 25 Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. 26 Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. 27 I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking. Revelation 4 ('s Vision)The Throne in Heaven 1 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." 2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits [a] of God. 6 Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: " 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,' who was, and is, and is to come." 9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: 11 "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being." Ladies, I have found that when I take my eyes off of myself, and any troubles or concerns I have, and put my focus on God in worship, and enter that Throne Room of grace, God fills my heart and soul with tender mercies. Oh, He convicts of sin too alright, and asks that I confess and repent....but it is not a shameful, guilt ridden, horrible experience that fills mem with the dread of judgement. Because God's desire is to cleanse, redeem, and fellowship. He is our Awesome God, and He gives life and healing to the soul. Of all my experiences in healing from my breast implant nightmare, this redemption, salvation and restoration from God is the sweetest of all. I am healed! Praise His name!Patty
