Guest guest
HTH is " hope that helps. " Namaste is a little more complicated. My 5yo's yoga tape defines it as " the light in me bows to the light in you, " but I like this definition best: " I honor the place within you where the entire Universe resides. I honor the place within you of love and light of peace and truth. I honor the place within you where when you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us. " That kind of compassionate awareness is at the heart of Buddhism, my faith of choice. Soooooooo, Namaste ! (Namaste, Everybody!!!) Love, Gretchen On Sat, 06 Jan 2001 20:00:38 -0000 " " <xtina@...> writes: > HTH! Guest guest
Dear gretchen, I did not read your original mesage, but if this reaction occured on oral azithromycin,I must ask if you are lactose intolerant. Zithro contains a generous amount, and i cannot take even the ones with less(pink 250s). I can only take the powder form that i mix with water. While it sounds like the fever and chills were a HERX, the vomiting and diahea could be the lactose . Prayers and hugs m > > 1. herx reactions > From: Gretchen > > Message: 1 > Date: Mon, 7 Jun 2004 19:59:53 -0700 (PDT) > From: Gretchen <lilgretas@...> > Subject: herx reactions > > So many people have responded to my messages and questions, and I have gotten so much support and encouragement--I really appreciate all of the information everyone has sent my way, it has been very helpful, thank you so much. Ok, so my question...several people have brought up that my possible reaction to the antibiotics I had awhile back might have been herx. I have read some about them, and from my understanding (and please feel free to correct me, I am learning here) they are usually a worsening of your regular symptoms. But the worst part of my reaction was not like my normal symptoms, I had chills and a fever (I sometimes run a low grade temp) but I also vomiting several times every half hour and had diarrhea. Because of the excessive loss of fluids I became very dehydrated and had to be taken to the ER in an ambulance. The doctors had me stop the antibiotics as a precaution (because they were unsure of the exact cause of my symptoms). For anyone who has had a reaction > like this, how do you get through it and keep going?
