Guest guest
I am almost done reading this book..... Narcissistic Predicaments: A Biblical Guide to Navigating the Schemes, Snares, and No-Win Situations Unique to Abusive Families I have to say this is an amazing book if you are struggling with God guilt with No Contact. It is just so freeing to know that God doesn't want us to suffer for the sake of our rotten family!!! Has anyone else read this book yet??? drlingirl

Guest guest
No it is not super religious. In fact the religious part is bold and easily skipped over. I find scripture hard to understand for the most part anyways...pretty Greek to me :0) The author comes off a little bitter, and even angry at times...but aren't we all when it comes to getting ripped off from our dysfunctional parents??? I liked that it was cut and dry, no if's and's, or but's. It talks of forgiveness but only when the offender apologizes and repent. And even after that a reconciliation would be considered (maybe) if the victim sees a true change, which could take months or years. It also had the 21 rules of no contact in it that someone posted here recently. Religion aside......it truly is a great book!!! drlingirl > > > > > > > I am almost done reading this book..... > > Narcissistic Predicaments: A Biblical Guide to Navigating the Schemes, > > Snares, and No-Win Situations Unique to Abusive Families > > > > I have to say this is an amazing book if you are struggling with God guilt > > with No Contact. Guest guest
Ohh Yeah..I need this I think. I struggle with doing the right thing in God's eyes. The whole " Honor thy father and Mother " is what has made me so submissive to my mothers abuse for some many years. Though when I went no contact last month I KNEW God was with me and I had done the right thing Thank You for sharing this. I'm glad there is such a book. Guest guest
There's also a bible-based website that is specifically targeted for the adult daughters of abusive, controlling parents who misuse their religion, employing it as a weapon to further dominate and exploit their adult children. I think its useful for sons and daughters both.
