I don't know about organ donation, but here in Canada insulin-dependent

diabetics are not allowed to donate blood (for fear of them passing out

from hypoglycemia). It's very frustrating, as I would donate blood if I

could. I would think diabetics could donate organs as long as they are

not damaged by the disease, but I could be wrong. Whatever orgnaization

is in charge of organ donations would probably be the best place to ask.

I'm pretty sure diabetics are not permitted to donate organs. Diabetes is a

vascular disease, and organs always have the potential to be in a state of

deterioration.
