Guest guest
I don't know about organ donation, but here in Canada insulin-dependent diabetics are not allowed to donate blood (for fear of them passing out from hypoglycemia). It's very frustrating, as I would donate blood if I could. I would think diabetics could donate organs as long as they are not damaged by the disease, but I could be wrong. Whatever orgnaization is in charge of organ donations would probably be the best place to ask. Jen > > Hello, > > My wife was watching Desperate Housewives and a character on it needed > a kidney. Guest guest
I'm pretty sure diabetics are not permitted to donate organs. Diabetes is a vascular disease, and organs always have the potential to be in a state of deterioration.
