Guest guest
Lol, well coconut milk is a natural antiviral as well as a laxative somewhat so you're kids are dumping all kinds of stuff! You might as well stay on it, antiviral remedies are great! After things settle down you could probably bump them up to a stronger antiviral for some more good stuff. My daughter did 9 months on acyclovir and did great, lots of nice improvements. As far as the crazy poops try bumping up their probiotics or even adding in a second one, I like threelac but it does have casein I believe. Good luck! > > Hi, > > So it's been about a month since I've had my 3 year old twins on supps (multi, probiotic, CLO, and calcium/mag/zinc). The pooping has been all over the place from constipation, to diarrhea, to kind of normal small poops about 10-15 times a day (I know - a bit excessive). Behaviorally, I have noticed a few more 'stimmy' behaviors and weird inappropriate giggling. The past few days, both girls have been SO silly, loud, hyper - they actually seem drunk. Our DAN told us this is common when kids dump yeast (my PDD twin has had the FOULEST smelling poops ever - yeasty, moth balls, just gross) and that these are good signs that their bodies are detoxing. Ok - so I am fine with these behaviors for now, and am just hoping the poop thing regulates REALLY soon. > > The only kicker (and this ALWAYS seems to happen) is that I started giving them coconut milk in the middle somewhere. When I gave almond milk a while back, a few of you had mentioned that it caused odd behaviors in your kids (stimming, echolalia, etc). Has anyone had this experience with coconut milk? This is our first attempt with supps, trying to rid them of yeast, etc, so I just want to make sure this is all normal. Thanks. >
Guest guest
Apparently goat's milk is easier to digest. My kids are not severe ASD, my daughter is Asperger's and my son in ADHD. So take it FWIW that they do ok on goat's milk products. Again, we use enzymes religiously and do not seem to have a terrible problem with milk, casein lactate or whatever. I'm not going back to cow's milk, and we don't over consume the goat's stuff. (Part of the reason I run and duck, because we are not 100% casein-free)Anyway, we are able to find commercial goat milk at my Publix grocery across the way. Also, goat's cheddar (which can be grated, it's not soft like other goat cheese which is squishier, like Feta) I am able to find RAW goat's cheddar at Whole Foods. Now, at nearly 20$ a lb, you are not gonna eat this like Kraft products. Last time we used it, I grated about an ounce on my son's GF pizza. The reason he got it that particular day was my Daiya had some crud growing in it. :-( Lol! You don't have to run and duck! I was going to stop the coconut milk today to see what happened anyway. And I just looked - yes, ours has carageenan in it. Lovely. The twin who is PDD, who is (I think) dumping yeast, and who seems to be acting the most 'drunk' only had a casein sensitivity of 1, so maybe she could tolerate goat's milk stuff sometimes too (her twin had a 7). Where do you find goat's milk cheese? Is goat's milk casein-free? Lactose-free? I've never tried it. Thanks! - Kirk- -- Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states.
