Guest guest
Hi Fiona, Good to have you! Like you, I'm looking forwarding to when eating is just a natural, pleasurable activity. Trying to determine what comfortable satiety is for me has been one of the biggest challenges I've had with the IE process. Knowing when I'm hungry or uncomfortably full seems to be so much easier than that in between point. I have HBP also and went on my last diet at the persistent urging of my physician to lose weight. Surprisingly, my HBP didn't improve with weight loss, so you're probably correct about an emotional aspect. In my case, I'm wondering if I might not also have some salt sensitivity, although I've pretty much weaned myself off the salt shaker. Rather than being an authoritative figure, I'm beginning to think doctors should be a partner with their patients on their health care, like Sue and her doctor. Of course, doctors have all that medical training, but who really knows your body better than you do? Maybe part of the problem is we, the public, have a tendency to think our doctors are the know-alls. Apologize for such a long post, but Fiona, I just wanted to mention that Sydney is one of my favorite cities in the world! My husband and I have been fortunate enough to visit Australia twice. Wonderful country with wonderful, friendly people, but you got to really watch the Aussie navy! Best wishes, Jeanne
