Guest guest
Hi Peggy, Many women find that after implant removal, they fluff out and actually have plenty of breast tissue left, or have even gained some over the years. This is especially true of older women. I would venture to say that you have more natural breast tissue now than you remember. That is my case...I am 49. I was explanted over 10 years ago, and I have more breast tissue. Explant can be frightening, but it does not have to be...there are so many wonderful outcomes, we've even had women say that they look better post explant than they did pre-implant. You may be pleasantly surprised! It is important to get the implants out correctly....for that reason we recommend those plastic surgeons who do a total capsulectomy with drains, or do the en bloc procedure. Question your doctor diligently about this form of explant when you consult with one, and if you do not find a good doctor to do a PROPER explant, please keep looking or go to one of the doctors we trust to do it right the first time. That would be Dr. LU Feng in Cleveland OH Dr. Huang in Denver Dr. Kolb in Atlanta GA, or Dr. Ed Melmed in Dallas TX Best wishes, Patty > > I am 53 and have had implants since I was 29. Guest guest
Hi Peggy, I think one thing most of us here have learned is that beauty and big breasts have nothing to do with one another. I had saline implants for six months, after having spent my entire life with very tiny breasts, and I had them removed because I couldn't stand them. I'm not deformed, ugly or hideous, and I love the way I look with my natural shape. Just make sure you find a surgeon who has alot of experience removing implants without replacement, for the best possible results. Also, since you seem to be having symptoms, make sure that whoever removes them removes the capsules. Sis > > I am 53 and have had implants since I was 29.
