I had a postive experience with colloidal silver as well. I have a

cyst on my thigh that has become infected (and grown very large)

twice. The first time I did a round of abx for it, and that worked.

But the second time it became infected, I just decided to work with

colloidal silver orally, and sure enough, the cyst went down to its

usual tiny pimple size again.

One person in my MS support group uses colloidal silver every day and

says it keeps his MS in remission, but I have been afraid to use it

long term as I don't understand it, and I see it as a metal, plus the

blue guy thing.

It is not really meant to be used long term. Argyia is a concern if

you use an inferior product in high concentrations for too long, but

I think a relatively low concentration for a period long enough to be

therapeutic would be okay. You've had good results with it

before...so you know what it can do. Many metals don't have to be

feared, because our bodies have trace amounts of metals in them that

are necessary for health, and silver has proven to be helpful over

many years.

Some people are struggling in their health due to viral infections,

subclinical fungal or bacterial infections...and colloidal silver can

take care of that beautifully. What about a short trial of a low ppm

to see how you feel on it? Has anyone on that other group spoken

about any side effects (besides the gray skin possibility?)

The March 1978 issue of Science Digest, in an article, "Our Mightiest Germ Fighter," reported: "Thanks to eye-opening research, silver is emerging as a wonder of modern medicine. An antibiotic kills perhaps a half-dozen different disease organisms, but silver kills some 650. Resistant strains fail to develop. Moreover, silver is virtually non-toxic." How It Works

The presence of colloidal silver near a virus, fungus, bacterium or any other single celled pathogen disables its oxygen metabolism enzyme, its chemical lung, so to say. Within a few minutes, the pathogen suffocates and dies, and is cleared out of the body by the immune, lymphatic and elimination systems. Unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics, which destroy beneficial enzymes, colloidal silver leaves these tissue-cell enzymes intact, as they are radically different from the enzymes of primitive single-celled life. "Use of Colloids in Health and Disease." Colloidal silver has proven particularly effective in cases of intestinal troubles. Dr. Henry Crooks found that "silver in the colloidal state is highly germicidal, quite harmless to humans and absolutely non-toxic. Rather than in a chemical compound, the silver in the colloidal state may be applied in a much more concentrated form, with correspondingly better results. All virus, fungus, bacterium, streptococcus, staphylococcus, and other pathogenic organisms are killed in three or four minutes upon contact. Dr. Becker, " The Body Electric," recognized a correlation between low silver levels and sickness. He said the silver deficiency was responsible for the improper functioning of the immune system. Dr. Becker's experiments conclude that silver works on the full spectrum of pathogens without any side effects or damage to any part of the body. He also states that the silver was doing something more than killing disease organisms. It was also causing major growth stimulation of injured tissues. Burn patients and elderly patients noticed more rapid healing. He discovered that all cancer cells change back to normal cells. The dilution instructions I have on my bottle of 250ppm to make a 10

ppm solution is to use 25 drops in one ounce of water. You can

safely take this daily to fight infections of many kinds.

You can also use this as a nasal spray or in a neti pot to fight sinus

infections.

There is a member of MS cured group who claims that a long term trial

of Colloidal Silver can help distinguish if one really has " MS " as

opposed to something like Lyme or other infections. He recommends

taking Colloidal Silver every 2 hours around the clock for 2 weeks.

He claims that if symptoms improve at the end of the 2 weeks, this is

proof that Lyme of infection is the problem rather than " MS " per se.

He recommends 10ppm per serving, which I think is a standard dose. I

have been reluctant to try his protocol--not in regard to taking it

for 2 weeks (which is not that long) but at the idea of taking it

every 2 hours around the clock.

I have heard a number of stories of people who were diagnosed with MS

and then were healed with antibiotics. This would suggest that some

cases of MS are really just infections or Lyme. The man I mentioned

before says that the Colloidal Silver trial is a way to figure this

out.

I am still too scared of the blue/gray man syndrome.

However, I am comfortable with taking it several times a day for

several days for an acute infection, such as the cyst I mentioned

earlier. I think it even helped when I had the vaginal burning.

The brand I use is called Sovereign Silver, and I buy it at Whole

Foods. It is in doses of 10ppm. The reason I like it so much is that

it only has two ingredients: Colloidal Silver and Purified water.

Nothing else.

However, I think the brand Patty recommended would be much more

economical, as the price is similar but the one she recommended gets

diluted and hence would last much longer.

Patty, how long do you think it is safe to take CS and how much in a

day. Any idea?

I think if you get a high quality colloidal silver, and use low

doses,your risk of argyria goes way down. It is the poor quality and

improperly made colloidal silver products that probably contribute the

most to the development of this condition. I understand your fear (

I've been fearful previously too) but with knowledge comes alleviation

of fears.

I'm not sure I'd do the every 2 hours thing myself. Once a day seems

adequate.

Thanks Patty,

I am not sure if I posted before but among my other issues I show up

positive for being exposed to at least 3 viruses: Epstein Barr,

Cytomeglovirus, and Herpes 6. None were currently active.

Sometimes I wonder why did I have to kiss so many frogs. I know this

is not the only way to get these viruses though.

Anyway, I am unclear if the CS actually kills the viruses, or just

lowers the count somewhat.

Also, you mentioned taking a low ppm for several weeks. Can you add

anything on what might be the maximum ppm in a single day. As I

mentioned previously a member of my other group says to take the

10ppm dose every 2 hours around the clock for two weeks. Does that

seem to high? Again, he says that will let the MSers know if we are

really dealing with MS rather than an infection or virus. Which is a

key question, as MS is an ambiguous disease and some people don't

even feel it is a disease but rather a name for neurological problems

of unknown origin--with different origins in each person. This

concept makes sense to me, unless I am just in denial.
