This was explained to me by a Chinese Herbalist & Accupuncturist. I will tell you why we discussed this: my youngest daughter, Kaiyah~age 5, is special needs. I had a home birth (all our births were-even our twins) & took her in for chiro care at 3 days b/c her neck was out from birthing. It turns out she has a brain stem truama in utero & a rotation of 7 1/2 on her brain stem. We are looking into specific treamtment for this. It has been a long process. She has Dandy Syndrome but no medical problems. Only physcial & neurological delays: gross motor skill (not walking-extreme hip imbalance), speech & coordination. Her cerebellum is undeveloped due to the cyst of CSF on the midline of the brain. We did not have a DX till this March b/c we just kept her in natural healing. I think this took care of all the " normal symtoms " of the syndrome so it was difficult w/out the expensive tests to DX her. I'm so glad we did what we did: nutritional counceling/monitoring, Bernanrd Jensen food/system analysis, chromotherapy, Bach flower remedies, gems, magnet therapy, acupuncture, chiro, Brain Gym, Reiki...ect. People are constantly amazed at her good health, great attitude, adaptablity & progress. I owe it all to natural health. So we continue the search. I found this list b/c of it's relationship w/ HBOT. But she has not has any treatments as of yet. So back to the kidneys: in her health care, kidneys have been stressed often. The Chinese Dr told me her diaper rashes ect are probably due to the gall bladder & kidneys nerve connections being stressed continuously from her imbalance. It makes sense. Food allergies are not the cause. If I take her in to get her legs adjusted (for use of a better word) then the diaper rash goes away. Dr. Thei has great info on this. I use his book for a baseline for our magnet therapy. Her previous chiro taught me for 3 1/2 yrs. She now goes to Http://www.kentuckiana.org. Only 1 of 2 natual health care/chiro clinics in the US. So we are still searching.....Any comments, suggestions & info would be appreciated. About your kidney stress, you need to find out if the initial problem is structural or metabolic . That would provide the best treatment for you kidneys to treat the cause. It could be another organ stress that pulled the kidneys down too. Chinese medicien makes these things so clear to me. I recommend a good naturopahic physician. Anyway, sorry the mixed post~ I just haven't ahd time to do anything but read posts (lots-but so good). Guest guest
As of Monday I started doing a kidney cleanse with the following herbs: Uva Ursi, White Oak Bark, Juniper Berries, Ginger, Dandelion Root, Marshallow Root, Gravel Root, and Lobelia. Gail, How are you taking these herbs? Pills or decoctions, or what? I would like to do a kidney cleanse, but the only one I know of Dr. 's, and I am not so sure I want to go that route. Is yours different? Glad to hear the results are worth the effort! Patty
Guest guest
Hi Patty, Yes, I believe this cleanse is different than Dr. 's. Donna has mentioned trying Dr. 's and it making her so depressed. This one doesn't. It is in bulk form and I just put 1/2 tsp. in water and drink three times a day. Directions say to do this for six weeks or longer for difficult cases. I asked an ET about it. She is a herbalist who said the six weeks time is fine for these herbs. Said they were some powerful herbs which should be able to stir up some stuff. Funny they don't make me sick at all. She also mentioned most bulk loses 75% of is potency compaired to the freeze dried herb in the capsule. Maybe that's why it's not making me sick. I noticed Donna posted today saying the company I got the herbs from is going out of business. However, I'm sure you can get the herbs just about anywhere and make up the receipe Donna posted. Good luck. Gail Gail Re: Kidney Cleanse > > Gail, > How are you taking these herbs? Pills or decoctions, or what? Guest guest
, I just finished the kidney cleanse and did the liver cleanse last night. Whew. I was not fatigued from drinking the kidney cleanse tea every day. I had an allergic reaction to the goldenrod, uva ursi, and ginger, so I had to leave those out, but went on with the tea and parsley water. I noticed my kidneys hurting slightly the first couple of days and anytime I didn't drink enough water. My lips were very dry, even cracked, even though I would drink close to three quarts of water a day. I couldn't see any of the stones and didn't expect to, since the tea is supposed to dissolve them. Dr. recommends doing the kidney cleanse once every six months. In one of the previous versions of her book, she said you could dissolve all your kidney stones in three weeks, but in the latest directions for the cleanse, she advises drinking the tea for six weeks to get good results, longer for severe problems. I wasn't having any kidney problems; I just did it because it was recommended to be done before the liver cleanse, which was my main need. I can't tell if I got good results or not. The kit I got from Dr. 's research association had enough herbs, vitamin B2, and black cherry concentrate to make tea for six weeks, and more than enough capsules of the magnesium oxide, and vitamin B6 and more than enough hydrochloric acid for six weeks. The ginger and uva ursi would run out after 33 days (just shy of five weeks), if you take the recommended three a day. (There are 100 capsules in each bottle of the supplements.) Guest guest
The kidney cleanse kit from Dr. 's research association cost $57.16 plus shipping. I also have to correct something I wrote before about all the ingredients lasting six weeks. Each half of the tea herbs lasts 13 days (for a total of 26). Then you have to reboil each half of the herbs in 6 cups of water to make 8 more days' worth (for a total of 16), which makes six weeks' worth. Also, the kit gives you two bottles of black cherry concentrate. You're supposed to add one of the bottles to the first boilings of each half of herbs, so you won't have any left for the reboiled batches. If you want to add black cherry concentrate (it improves the flavor of the tea; I'm not sure if it increases its effectiveness as well), you'll have to buy an additional bottle and could split it between the two reboiled batches. Could you please tell me how to order from Dr. 's research association... an e-mail or a phone number? I have ordered from Road-to-Health for a long time now, thinking there is no other way to get Hulda 's stuff. It looks as if there is a big price difference. Guest guest
, the Dr. research association's website is https://www1907.dulles19-verio.com/drclar/utilities/productssss.htm?rep=DCRA Their phone number is 1-800-220-3741. , the first day after my liver cleanse I was still worn down, but now I feel great. It didn't cure my food allergies, though. I'm allergic to corn and ginger, among other things, and I tried to eat those Monday. Although I didn't have as much wheezing (I hadn't had any since the second day of zapping), I did wheeze a bit when I tried to exercise that afternoon. I also noticed some lung pain, but not wheezing, after eating cornbread dressing. I wasn't able to get 2,000 stones out, which is what Dr. says is necessary to rid you of allergies permanently. I don't know if she means food or environmental allergies. Has anyone successfully treated their food allergies with Dr. 's methods? I guess I'll have to do another cleanse after the holidays and see if I can get more stones out and see if that cures it. I tried the liver cleanse on my three-year-old son last night, with terrible results. After keeping him off food and drink for 12 hours (which was terribly hard; he was definitely hungry and begging for water), I finally relented and let him have a few sips of water a couple of hours after I gave him the grapefruit juice and olive oil. About an hour later, he was laying on his stomach, which must have put pressure on his liver or stomach (I found that I had to lay on my back with my head elevated at about a 30-degree angle the entire night or I had nausea), and he vomited all of it up. At that point, should I have tried to give him more grapefruit juice and olive oil and pushed back giving him the last two Epsom salt doses by three hours? Or, if I chose to give up and try another day, when would it have been safe to give him fruit juice and later food? Has this happened to anyone? Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Guest guest
Just don't do the liver cleanse with a young child. You performed it completely wrong, which made your son feel really sick. Don't do that to a little child. He's too young to understand and cooperate and it's a very rough treatment. One doesn't need to fast for 12 hours at all - stop eating and drinking at 2 pm and start with the epsom salts at 6, then at 8 and the oil + grapefruit at 10. After that you lie on your _back_ for at least 20 minutes and Don't Move. Then go to sleep. Don't take any more epsom salts until after 6 am the next morning. You should not have persisted in the cleanse, and don't try again until he is about 16 years old. sincerely, Ilana > > I tried the liver cleanse on my three-year-old son last night, with > terrible results. Guest guest
Leo, I'm disappointed to hear that it takes 10-15 liver cleanses to clear up allergies. Does it take that long for most people to pass 2,000 stones? Jeanie, I don't know what the signs of liver toxicity are, but my son has extensive food and environmental allergies that are getting difficult to live with by just using avoidance techniques. He didn't understand the purpose of the procedure, other than " take this " medicine " so that it will clean out your belly. " He's fine now, thanks for asking. He passed a few stones the next day, even though I aborted the procedure after he threw up and didn't give him the morning epsom salts doses. CB, Thanks for the tip on the 7-day juice fast, but I won't be able to do that on a toddler. And finally, Ilana, Thanks for your opinions about how I shouldn't have tried this on a toddler. It would have been helpful to have heard from you in response to my first post to the group (#4243), in which I asked for advice on how to proceed with the cleanses on a child. I got responses from no one. I don't believe that I performed it completely wrong. When I said that he fasted for 12 hours, I was speaking of not eating or drinking except the epsom salt water and olive oil/grapefuit juice, from 2 pm until the middle of the night (about 2 am, which would have been 12 hours), when I finally gave him the plain water. I gave him the epsom salt water and olive oil/grapefruit juice on the schedule outlined by you below and consistent with Dr. 's directions. With the exception of the epsom salt water and grapefruit juice/olive oil, when you do a liver cleanse, you are essentially fasting for 20 hours (from 2 pm the first day until 10 am the next day when you get fruit juice two hours after the fourth epsom salt dose), correct? I mean, you're not supposed to have plain water at all during that time, which is the mistake that I made in administering this to my son. & #0; & #0; Wed, 12 December 2001, ilana wrote: > > > Just don't do the liver cleanse with a young child. I got responses from no one. I wasn't available for responding to email last month so I can't comment on how I should have spoken up sooner. Stupid that no one did. Also you asked about all the cleanses in one, and asking 4 questions at the same time never gets a complete answer out of an audience. That is annoying, but it is the normal state of affairs. However, you _can_ do a modified parasite cleanse on a child: http://www..net/info/children.htm describes perfectly how. The tapeworm/ascaris cleanse is mentioned, as is the mop-up program, so you can do those on a child as well. But the kidney cleanse and the liver cleanse are not mentioned and I don't remember reading about using them with children at all in the books. I would think that the kidney cleanse is innocent enough to do (_after_ the parasite cleanse and the tapeworm/ascaris cleanse) but about the liver cleanse it is stated many times that it is a very rough procedure and is not done on the very ill or very vulnerable, such as old people. I myself count children under those too. I would sooner start with the liver herbs (in a tea) that Dr. describes in her books for a child, after you're finished with the parasite cleanse and the tapeworm/ascaris, as well as the kidney cleanse. > I don't believe that I performed it completely wrong. When I said > that he fasted for 12 hours, I was speaking of not eating or drinking > except the epsom salt water and olive oil/grapefuit juice, from 2 pm > until the middle of the night (about 2 am, which would have been 12 > hours), when I finally gave him the plain water. This is not what I could make out of your previous mail. This sounds fine. What probably was more of a problem is that he didn't go to sleep and with the water and alltogether rough treatment of the cleanse he threw it all up, after which it is difficult to judge if the cleanse was successful or even could have been. One thing I'd worry about are the dosages. For a 3 year old, the dosages of the parasite cleanse are cut down considerably, so how small must the dosages be for the liver cleanse? Certainly not grownup's sizes. 1/4 maybe? 1/8th? Who will tell? At this point I think you'd best contact Dr. or someone who works with her programs to verify what to do. I do understand the need and yearning to do what is right for your child's health, though, so I understand you felt compelled to do something for him. > Ilana... who hopes your son is already doing better on the parasite cleanse! Guest guest
Nah, it doesn't take that long for all or perhaps even most. I did 2 and probably passed 1500 the first time around. It will differ by individual. CB. Re: Re: Kidney cleanse > On 13 Dec 2001, Rickeys wrote: > > > Leo, I'm disappointed to hear that it takes 10-15 liver cleanses to > > clear up allergies. Guest guest
How do they do this? Do they dissolve gallstones? Guest guest
HI , Don't be too diappointed ; I believe you need many liver cleanses before your allergies clear. My book " A cure for all diseases " says you can do the liver cleanse every 2 weeks. I would just keep going and count your stones until you get 2000. Guest guest
Well, I'm only speculating, but there could be more than one reason one gets allergies, I'm speaking of airborne at this point. It may be that the energy that was freed up from not digesting food was available to heal where ever needed. I know I was quite pleased. CB > How do they do this? Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the group and have started reading from the beginning. My name is Hanneke, 53 yr female, and live in Australia. Interested in learning as much as I can and the Internet is a great way of accessing all sorts of info. Would you be able to tell me if the books of Hulda are available in the Dutch language. A dear friend of mine in Holland had severe kidney problems with stones, lots of pain etc. I've been trying to give her advise and referred on to websites but they are mostly in the English language. Thankyou Hanneke
Guest guest
Thank you for the info......very informative. I am going to try this as well My daughter has been suffering constantly for urinary tract infections. Do you think this may help her also? She is now on her 10th or 12th round of antibiotics, which I keep telling her she is going to have long term problems with. I have suggested she go to a naturopath but she hasn't yet. She has at least changed doctors. She just put her on some herb teas....at least she isn't giving her additional meds. Any thoughts anyone?
