Guest guest
HI, I have joined this group because I have a sister in law that was just diagnosed with Lupus(main symptoms being extreme fatigue and swollen joints). She had saline implants put in one to two years ago and had no previous history of immune system problems before that. She believes her doctor when he says they are safe and have not contributed to her issues. I have not said anything to her about a possible connection between her failing health and her implants and am not sure the best way to do it. I am wondering if anyone out there may know of a good website or book or anything that I could give to her. Any help would be appreciated as it has been very sad to see her with this condition. Thanks, R
Guest guest
Hi R, I am so sorry to hear that your sister in law has been diagnosed with lupus...such a very difficult disease. We have many links in our links section that will provide overwhelming and factual information about implants being associated with lupus and other autoimmune diseases. I used to have a file that listed all the books too, but I can't find that file at the moment. Dr. Zuckerman has an excellent website with info on breast implants and their dangers, as does Dr. Kolb. Dr. Kolb is a plastic surgeon herself, who got sick from her implants. So, she knows what they are doing to women. You can see Dr. Zuckerman's site here: http://www.breastimplantinfo.org/what_know_4.html You can see Dr. Kolb's site here: http://www.freewebs.com/implants/articles.htm I hope your sister in law will be open to the suggestion that her implants may be the culprit in the instigation of her disease. The sooner she realizes this and grasps at the chance to get better, the sooner she can get on the road to healing. It takes proper explant (meaning implant removal and total capsule removal), followed by detoxing and rebuilding nutritional, hormonal and emotional health. It takes time and patience, as well as a hopeful and encouraged attitude, which we help provide! We've seen lots of women get better, and go on to live very good lives again, free of the symptoms they used to suffer from. God bless you for trying to help her...you're a loving family member, and so many women do not have that. Guest guest
R, Here is a pamplet that you can print off and give to your sister in law. This was written by Dr. Zuckerman. http://www.breastimplantinfo.org/pdfs/ImplantReport2006.pdf It is called, " Decisions in the Dark " about the FDA and breast implants. Hope this helps, Patty > > HI, > I have joined this group because I have a sister in law that was just > diagnosed with Lupus(main symptoms being extreme fatigue and swollen > joints). Guest guest
R, Here is a list from Dr. Kolb's HADCORP site that shows the many studies that would implicate silicone implants in the disease process. http://www.orgsites.com/fl/adjuvantdisease/_pgg5.php3 Patty > > HI, > I have joined this group because I have a sister in law that was just > diagnosed with Lupus(main symptoms being extreme fatigue and swollen > joints).
