Guest guest
Wow. Those poor little kids. I hope she's not hurting them or terrifying them. Sometimes nadas are only toxic and destructive to their own children and seem to be able to manage behaving in more normal and mentally healthy ways around other children. I hope that's the case with your nada. -Annie > > > > What do your nadas do for a living? The ability to manipulate, the lack of conscience when she was pursuing her own goals (whether or not it was good for the customer), the ability to " spin " facts and to rationalize ANYTHING in order to close the deal, the short-term, serial " friendships " - she was brilliant at sales - and never could understand why I loathed the idea of working in sales or retail jobs. Guest guest
My Nada is a $20-something per minute online phone psychic... she's *gifted* and can *watch* people. I hated the phone calls and emails that ended in, " I'm watching you " or " I know all your secrets " and such. I've definitely gotten in trouble for things her psychic friends *see* (like that time Nada tried to take me to NarcAnon, what with me being substance-free and all...) and in trouble for what her *spirit guide* Craig *sees* and such. She acts like a total BPD queen with her clients and has alienated SO many... now if someone pisses her off, she blocks them (aka " I don't understand, could you repeat that " = the most horrible thing to say EVER)... I could rant about this for a while, but she's been doing it for a decade, and it put food on the table and such. -Frances > > What do your nadas do for a living? Guest guest
Well my nada breeds those funny looking flat-faced persians, but I imagine it's the same. You just get some female cats and one male cat, or she sometimes has an arrangement with someone to bring a male cat over when her females are in heat. The males are often hard to keep because they like to mark all your furniture. The problem with those purebreds is they often have troubles and need a lot of human assistance during/after birth. She has to give CPR to ones that appear to be born dead, and bring them to the vet when they get respiratory illnesses (the flat faces give them breathing problems). Guest guest
I can totally see that being a BPD queen thing because that is power based and there is nothing these women like more than having powers that other people do not have. Guest guest
My mother did various things. She was highly intelligent and probably could have done miracles if she didn't have BPD. She was going to be a paralegal, but never finished. She went to real estate school, never finished. She was going to get her GED (she dropped out of high school because she got married), never finished. She got real involved in local small-town politics and made a lot of friends who quickly became her enemies. She campaigned for people but then got mad when she didn't feel they appreciated her enough and talked bad about them, which made her even more enemies. She once started a suicide hotline in the community. I only remember it lasting for about a week. It was right in the midst of her own suicidality, which was strange. I remember saying to her, " Mom, does it strike you strange that you're doing this and you're so suicidal? " She just said, " I know. " She really didn't accomplish a whole lot other than screwing up life for her kids and husbamd. I seem bitter, lol. Re: do for a living?
