Guest guest
Well Markie, welcome to the Wonderful World of Diabetes. (LOLLLLOLLLOL) This morning my BS was 125 while yesterday it was 157. Hmm, you are correct, it makes no sense. One glorious morning it was 105 so there may be hope? Damn! between 180 and 140? those numbers seems like your A1C would be over eight and maybe nine. I got a 2 hour reading after the same lunch I had yesterday. my reading to day was 171, but the very same lunch yesterday was 135. makes no sense to me. well no matter because my reading the past week are much lower then they have been. I sure do miss eating all that junk that is bad for me. like Mexican food! Man o Man do I dig that bad carb loaded food. O well, guess we chose between living or a hard painful death and that choice points us one way or the other. Now I know you are a type 2 as I. but you are on insulin and I just take lots of pills. can some one like me who only takes pills have a low sugar like you had? how would you know you were having a low reaction like that if you were home by your self? I'm home all day for about 12 hours and if that happen to me, well wouldn't be a good thing I'm thinking. don't blame your wife for being scared. I believe I would be scared as well. one time I heard or read that doctor's are now thinking that diabetics who keep a tight control on there sugar like between 5 and 6 have more problems with there diabetes? they are now saying that a diabetic does better with there A1C between 6 and 7. well I got no clue my self, but can tell you that being around 13 sucks and lots of chest pain from it. I did have this many problems with pain and the such when my A1C was between 6 and 7. actually I felt pretty good. Well you hang in there Harry. You are one of the one's who have kept me around on this list after all these years. really enjoy your post and find you very interesting. stress test results. the saw bones says I got about 20% blockage in the arteries on the bottom of my heart. he thinks diet, exercise and controlling my diabetes better then a A1C of 13 will clear up any trouble. he doesn't think going in to look around with the arterial gram is the thing to do right now unless I just want to for my own peace of mind. I do have some chest pain, but it is different then the pain I had with my heart attack back in 2007. he said he had some patients that had more blockage then I do and they are handling it with diet and exercise. So I go back in one month and if I feel I need him to go in and look around with the little camera, then we will do that then. he said my heart is pumping out as it should and there is no problem there. he said the chemical stress test does pretty good at pointing out any trouble and I really don't have much at all except for the 20% in the bottom arteries. So far I've done good for a week and all ready my sugars have dropped. I go back for a A1C check up around the end of July. I know it will be lower then 13, but don't know how much lower. I would be tickled purple with a A1C of 10 by the end of July and back to where it should be in the next 3 months after that. like under 6 by Thanksgiving would be some thing to be very thankful fore.
