Guest guest
Hi Mark, You re right. Your body got used to high blood sugars and now you are taking it lower. Just be careful and things will be fine. Sharon It's kind of funny. I just checked my 2 hour reading and it is 129. but I got the shakes and a headache to boot. I figure after my sugars have been running high for a long time, now the reading is where it should be and I feel bad. Need to go grab a pack of cookies and feel better! could be I miss my morning coffee. since my stress test is at one, they said no coffee. going to drink a pot when I get home though and life will be right once again. Guest guest
Mark, because your readings have been high, now that they are where they should be, your body thinks that they are low. Compared to what they have been, now, they are low! So, it will take your body some time to adjust! Stick with it! Remember, the changes are not going to happen over night! It's kind of funny. Guest guest
Mark, It is true what everyone, including yourself, has mentioned; you feel low because your body is not used to normal BG. I hope you did not grab that pack of cookies. Just sitting down with one glucose tab dissolving slowly in your mouth will make you feel better. It will take time to get used to lower BG. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2011 8:56 AM To: blind diabetics Subject: It's kind of funny. Guest guest
don't worry, I was only joking. It feels good to walk by the closet where those cookies are and flip them off. I rather enjoy the practice and look forward to it each day. I've gave in way to many times in the past and then beat my self up for being so weak. That chemical stress test I had done to day gave me a headache. I haven't had a headache is so long that I all most forgot all bad they can hurt. to morrow I return for just pictures of the heart. but even that means laying still in one position and don't move a muscle for about 15 minutes. No snoring and no coughing. It's easy to lay still when you don't have to, but be told to be still and you feel like you have to move. I do know that the lower readings is a good thing and I have to get use to them again. I will feel better in the long run though and with the grace of God I will keep my diabetes under control this time and never get my A1C over 7 again. It can be done because a lot of you on this list have proved that for many years. I know it doesn't happen over night and I'm not thinking it does. I'm in it for the long haul this time because my health and life depends on it. thanks for all your help and I will always be right here reading and learning. It's kind of funny. Guest guest
Just keep fliping off those cookies. I think it's a great sport. By the way, lancets draw blood more quickly if you curse them first. You have to think up your own special curse, I don't think that Rowling's Avada Kadabra works for all brands. Guest guest
Arlene, Sixty is a low BG. Are you on insulin? If you are and you have a BG that low, you need to treat it with glucose or 4 oz. Of juice. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Arlene Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2011 10:40 AM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: It's kind of funny. That is the problem that I am having too. Since my blood sugars had been so high for a long time, it has been a big adjustment when they are within normal limits. I had a blood sugar of 60 this morning at 3 a.m. Sure makes me feel terrible. Trying to adjust to it though. Arlene It's kind of funny.
