Forwarding to the group for info...Subject: re: biotoxin testing info"Patty Faucett" <glory2glory1401@...>Date: Monday, March 9, 2009, 9:11 AMHi Patty,

For the ladies who want additional testing, and are being discouraged by regular blood work results, the biotoxin testing may be show something. There are many biotoxin tests, but the ones that seem to be consistently abnormal are these:

(fatigue) VEGF,

(elevated cytokine production)TGF beta-1,

(brain/neuropathy) MMP-9

MSH (should be over 20)

They can get the full list from Dr. Shoemaker's site, but some of them are very confusing. I'm asking my DO to run my tests again, I call them the "fungal tests", and I need to check to see if my VEGF has returned to normal. It was sky high last year. I've been told Dr. Shoemaker is looking hard at TGF beta-1.

I took the CSM powder for a few weeks after my last trip to Savannah, and I have to admit I do feel more alert. I am currently taking Alpha Lipoic Acid, fish oil, and have started B1(benfotiamine, used in Germany for neuropathy) I'll let you know if that helps my burning symptoms. I am also using my sauna a few days per week.

hugs,

Any doctor can run the tests, usually through LabCorp, but here Shoemaker's new

site, http://www.biotoxin.info/Lab_Tests. There is a full battery of tests, but

unless they are a mold/biotoxin expert, it is almost pointless. The MSH, VEGF,

MMP-9, and TGF beta 1 tend to be the ones that are the most abnormal. You can

read " Mold Warriors " ; it is a very good book to better understand how biotoxins

affect certain groups of people.

There are a lot of different things about implants that can make you sick,

sometimes it's not mold/fungal at all, just something to keep in mind.

hugs,

Beth L
