Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've had saline implants for 15 years and have been experiencing illness related symptoms for the past 2 years. I was originally diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis but as my symptoms have worsened and new symptoms are emerging I've been researching the possible connection to my breast implants. I have many of the same symptoms that other women with implants have. I scheduled an appointment with a PS to consult on an explant but I'm petrified of not only the operation but how I will look. I was not only flat chested before my implants but what I did have was deformed. My husband has never seen me without implants and any time I've come across a pre-implant picture of myself I've been horrified and tossed it out. I'm wondering if the silicone shell is disolving in my body or I possibly have a rupture with moldy saline escaping. I know I have some extensive scarring- I have capuslar contraction but I never thought it was bad enough to warrant a second operation. My question is, has anyone replaced old implants and removed the entire capsule with new implants and had any relief from symptoms?? I'm scared to death of the alternative. Any info out there would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
