Guest guest
Hi , Sounds interesting. I have been hearing lately about glutathion. My naturopath sold me something called Reabsorb. He said the glutathion does not survive the stomach acids and this one is in some sort of suspension. Anyway, I couldn't take it. It made me feel like I was climbing out of my skin. Much too detoxifying. I added it to my cupboard full of things that I cannot tolerate. I had some refried beans yesterday and some rice for dinner. It felt good to be back on a few carbs. I also noticed a huge increase in energy. I worked at a fast pace all day and had energy to walk after dinner and go out to a meeting. I am OK as long as I remember that I am not like normal people and that I cannot do radical diets or most supplements. I am starting to really get this acceptance thing and to also learn that I can go to God and ask him to help me. Sometimes I forget that and get a little panicky thinking that I am all alone in this thing. Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I'm glad you're learning more about what works and doesnt' work for you as well as gaining acceptance. Yes, most people say that gluthatione oral supplements cannot survive stomach acids but a few products (like the OSR and Reabsorb) apparently do. But also, apparently if people have problems metabolizing sulfur, they may have trouble with these products as well as other chelators. I found someone who was willing to send me a few samples of OSR--That way I don't have to buy a whole bottle (it is $300! for a 6 month supply and only comes in the one big size). I will be able to tell with the small sample if I can tolerate it, although I will not be able to know with such a small sample if it is really detoxifying. I was unable to tolerate a tiny amount of DMSA and hence I need to assess tolerability before I can assess effectiveness.
