Debby,

See my message to Bozena re: Cellcept.

Your heart shouldn't sink, as cellcept will help you keep on a lower

dose of pred, which is what you want.

I don't know what your doc has against cellcept, as it's basically

just a stronger version of Imuran/Azath. I've been on it for about a

year now, and am on 5mg pred, with normal blood counts!

The only drawback of cellcept is the side effects. I can tell you

about those another time. Now my AIH is under control my doc is

considering putting me back on Imuran, as the cellcept is making me

nauseaus, but that won't be for a couple of months at least.

Best wishes

Lui (age 22, London , UK)

People earlier wrote that their doctors felt they had more "control" with Cellcept. Comments from any of you who have used Cellcept?

Lu, thanks for the info. I read the insert you sent to Bozena and responded...thanks. But, my doctor wanted to keep me off of cellcept because it IS stronger than Imuran and I am so sick on Imuran. I am afraid that I will be sick on those too....BUT I am NOT going to go into a new med thinking that I am going to be sick. So, hopefully, the new med will work! Time will tell!

HI, Jody,

I am SO sorry you're still dealing with this! Ugh.

My understanding is that this LLMD has a practice in another location

where he is on Fridays and weekends. This may be why you didn't hear. I

have found emailing to be a little unpredictable - sometimes there's an

almost immediate turn around (even on weekends) and sometimes it takes a

few days. Hang in there. You can try both calling and emailing.

It was hard for me to be patient sometimes - once I was literally in the

ER and they couldn't get in touch with him. He's terribly, terribly busy,

pretty much working singlehandedly. It's what our Lyme docs have to do.

There is such a huge demand for Lyme Literate help.

Keep trying to write them and call. You should get an answer soon.

I really have to wonder about staying on the tetra! Your body does not

seem to tolerate it at all!

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon! Don't worry.

Marie :)

Good news- hooray! So the next thing we will see is Tess walking down

the beach all tan and skinny in her white swim suit! (hearing " girl

from ipanema playing in background) We will be praying in agreement

that the new medication will be just the thing to fix your tummy up.

God bless

Jane

Amen to your prayer, dear Jane, I love " The Girl from Ipanema " but I'll

probably be wearing one of those 1910 full body swimsuits...ok, maybe

not QUITE that extreme!

Hugs...

Tess : )

A full replacement dose for a medium weight woman is 0.200 mg. You are

not at full dosage yet.

I am sure no one will be suprised to hear that my p/s told me that the symtoms that I have can not be related to my implants because I have saline implants. Does anyone know of a dr in Baton Rouge, LA that I can go to? Welch
