Hi all. I am Ted . I don't post much to the list, but I do read

the articles and posts.

I just this week got my last lab results, and my last A1C went from 6.6 to

6.4 which converting from Canadian to American is 122.1 and 118.4. I was

pleased with these results, since my last A1C before that in May 2010 was

8.8 or 162.8.

My cholesterol levels and everything else was good, the cholesterol levels

were low, including the HDL Cholesterol.

Thanks for letting me share this good news with all of you. I hope it is an

encouragement to someone that diabetes can indeed be managed. Thanks

Ted

I know that they said both of mine were low, and the receptionist didn’t

know what it meant so I was stuck trying to figure it out. That is an

improvement, since they used to be borderline high before they put me on

crestor, and now with being on metformin and diamicron for diabetes, I think

it has dropped even more. Some of you can comment on this if you know.

Thanks

Hi, Ted, and all,

It so happens, I just got lab worked done this morning. I'll hopefully have

the courage to post my results next week sometime! Way to go with your A1C!

BTW, low HDL is not desirable, but something many diabetics are stuck with.

Mine happens to run in the low to mid 20s. It's the LDL we want to be on the

low side (preferably under 70).

Dave
