Guest guest
That is interesting because in the past 2 years I have been sick I have had bouts of vaginal burning. Each time I was tested repeatedly for urinary tract infection and that would come out negative every time. I wonder if it is candida. It is not as bad as it used to be, but a few months ago I tried a small amount of DMSA and the vaginal burning came back for about a month (and again I tested negative for UTI). I wonder where candida cleansing lies in the order of cleansing--Does anyone know. Is it something one should always be working on. I had heard that metals should be worked on before candida? Also, someone asked what my symptoms were in relation to the parasite post. I have a number of general neuro symptoms (blurred vision, numb, stiff, brain fog, fatigue). I have no particular reason to suspect that I have parasites but I was under the impression parasites should be done with a colon cleanse. Plus, I know someone who had improvement from parasite cleansing. Hence I have been looking into it. > > I did an internet search on Candida and burning, and the things that > came up were what I expected...burning in the mouth, which is from > Thrush, and burning in the urinary tract and vagina, which is what we > get from infections there that are candida related. > > I am not clear about the burning feeling all over...but I do know that > women on our support group have suffered from it. Guest guest
Hi , Your symptoms all sound like they are candida related. I would suggest that you read Bee's website at www.healingnaturallybybee.com. The diet is so detoxifying in itself that you don't have to do other treatments. I also wrote to her about the burning and she reasures me that it is a healing reaction and that it will go away. Meanwhile I am going to lower the dose of the coconut oil (powerful candida cleanser) and also the dose of the vitamin B's. The niacin in it may be causing too much blood flow to the areas where I am getting the burning. It is so scary because I fear that I have permanent nerve damage, but she assures me that this diet even heals MS. I am going to have to trust that this is all in the name of healing and trust God, of course. Joanne
Guest guest
, When I was at my sickest, I occassionally had vaginal itching/burning and the relief I obtained was by using a tea tree oil douche. It worked wonders. I gave up using the creams altogether. Have you tried this? To make a tea tree oil douche solution, you mix 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil into 2 cups of water. This therapy was given to me by Dr. Kolb, by the way, and we've had women on our group rave about its effectiveness for a yeast infection. It's so refreshing. As for the UTI's I had those as well, but I always tested positive for bacteria in my urine. One question , you mentioned both vaginal burning and a UTI infection...did they culture the vagina and also test the urine separately at the same time? You can have two different things going on there. Most doctors will assume that a vaginal infection is fungal in nature and give you the fungal creams, while the UTI is usually bacterial in nature. It's odd that you didn't show anything though. Once I had a longstanding vaginal infection that my OB/GYN just kept handing me creams for. It went on for MONTHS and months, until finally I just found a new doctor. She cultured my vagina and found I had a bacterial infection--strep! All those antifungal creams were a waste of time, because I needed an antibiotic! When trying to get better, there are some that will insist that there needs to be an order to cleansing, though I am not sure what that order would be because I didn't really follow one myself. I just did what I felt I needed to do at the time...what I could afford, what I could handle on my own...and seeing a naturopath didn't reveal any " order " either. My very first naturopath did not treat me for candida, though I was really sick and had all of the symptoms you mention. He suggested removing amalgams, which I did, followed by chelation therapy. Prior to that, he had supervised fasting and colonics for me as the first part of my " program. " The fasts were very effective. I think candida is somewhat overestimated and seen as the culprit in many cases where it may not be; however, I think it is important to treat for it and try to rid yourself of any overabundance of the fungus early in any illness. Untreated candida infections can allow the fungus to mutate into much more virile mycelial forms and so you definitely want to address it if you've never treated for it. Candida is actually present in every human body...so you will never get rid of it...only bring it under control. There are some very strict diets to follow, which I have never really done. I found that they were very, very difficult to follow, but Bee's site has made it creative! The only thing I did was take caprylic acid in the large doses suggested in the book Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia--3600 mg daily for at least 2 weeks, along with a generally healthy diet that focuses on getting rid of sugars and eating probiotic foods such as fermented vegetables, yougurt and kefir that are high in live bacterial cultures. With a diet high in probiotics and low in sugars that feed yeasts, you will get your intestinal flora under control. Guest guest
, I did the chelation therapy through my naturopath...he started me with a DMPS shot as a challenge test to see what I was dumping. When it was determined that I was dumping mercury and arsenic, he put me on a round of DMSA pills that were compounded at a compounding pharmacy. We did that for 30 days...I think they were 50 mg DMSA pills. I did it more than once, after my first test after doing the round showed reduced metals, and my naturopath was content with the results, but I said I wanted to do one more round if there was any mercury left at all. Zero was the goal! Chelation therapy has to be done carefully, as the agent will stir up the metals and move them around in your body. One doctor I know what doing it wrong...I called them to talk about how they administered their DMSA and they said they gave 500 mg pills, which in my mind seemed risky. I researched chelation therapy heavily and continued to do it on my own after I moved away from my naturopath. From what I understood, from Andy Cutler's protocol, it is preferable to take only take small amounts of DMSA at one time, and take it every 4 hours for a period of several days, then take a break, of as many days or more, and then do the DMSA again every 4 hours for several days. According to him, this keeps the heavy metals from being moved around in the body to the brain. Andy Cutler is a PhD chemist and his protocol can be found on the net. I believe he also claims Alpha Lipoic Acid is a mild chelator of metals, and he gives a protocol for that as well. I do know that there are people who have taken the DMPS shots and suffered. There are other chelating agents as well, such as EDTA, which are given intravenously, and I've heard good things about it, but what agent you are given will depend on what metals you test high in. Ending up in a wheelchair from not addressing heavy metals sounds plausible if she was heavily toxic, but I am not so sure that it is because she did a candida diet before cleansing the metals? I'm wondering how she would know that? I do think if someone is toxic from metals it is important to take steps to remove that toxicity. There are several ways to do it...DMSA pills is one, and high doses of Vitamin C is also a mild chelator, as is cilantro and garlic...infrared saunas also detox heavy metals...alpha lipoic acid....it is a subject that is definitely a concern to address. What will you be doing? Patty > > Thanks Patty and Joanne for the information. I will go through Bee's > diet. Also to Patty, I was curious as to what type of chelation therapy > you did? Guest guest
Wow, Dede, have you ever tried this? I think I would be nervous about putting a clove of garlic in my vagina, even intact! I know that garlic is a tremendously effective antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral agent, and I have no qualms about eating it raw. I'd love to hear from someone who has tried this. I find the tea tree oil very refreshing. Haven't had to use it for years now, but when I had infections while sick it worked wonders. It's odd how the body will suffer various forms of infection when we are so sick from implants...the vaginal infections and kidney/UTI infections were practically nonexistent to me before implants, but in that window of my life when I was so sick they were frequent. I had never once had a kidney or UTI infection prior to implants. I had a vaginal infection that needed an antibiotic once prior to implants. I never get UTI infections or vaginal infections anymore now that I have been healed for some time. It's a thing of the past, thank God. Anyone who tries the garlic in the vagina is a brave woman in my book!
