Guest guest
Hi again Patty and all, I have already been diagnosed with hypothyroidism based on my TSH, T3, and T4 and symptoms. I have been taking Armour and the doctor wants to retest my levels. I am seeing the doctor this Thursday for the repeat testing to see if the TSH, T3, and T4 have changed. Since I already have the diagnosis, I was wondering if it is still worthwhile to get the other antibodies tests that Patty mentioned below, or is that not necessary since I already have the diagnosis of hypo and am already taking Armour. Thanks, > > > > Patty I had my thryroid check last june 5 months after noticing hair > loss. All tests were nornal
Guest guest
, The antibody tests should be taken because you will want to know if your condition is an autoimmune condition or not. Though the treatment is the same, Autoimmunity presents additional concerns that you should be aware of. Those with autoimmune conditions are more susceptible to other autoimmune conditions, and to more fluctuations in the thyroid.
