How to Qualify

To qualify for Social Security Disability benefits, you must suffer from a mental or physical condition severe enough to prevent you, for at least one year, from performing the job you most recently held.

The Social Security Administration may counter with questions regarding your ability to work a lower level, non-skilled job to see if you can be hired overall. If you cannot do a full range of even the most sedentary work, and have exertional and non-exertional limitations, you are disabled.

Even medication that you are taking for a physical injury can prevent you from working in any type of job.

You said you have not been able to work in 2 years due to being ill.

This qualifys you....

Do you have a history trail of seeing doctors over this last 2 years ? ?

even if they havent given you a " lable " , or diagnoses per se, if you have a history trail of illness, especially if it has kept you from working, this will help

you qualify.

I had 2 years that I could not afford to see a doctor, but finally qualified

because I had a history trail before, and after that time.....
