Guest guest
yes, 45 degree angle. No more than that. A 90 degree angle will muscle the shot and you basically waste it because it goes in and out of the system way too fast. When it's subcutaneous, it stays in the fat longer and releases slower. I'm sure someone on here has a much more scientific explanation for you than what I gave. Cheryl ~http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com~~@Gryffins_Tail~ I got a question please I started my daughter on B12 shots about 3 months ago and I haven't seen any big gains but I have noticed that sometimes on her butt where I gave her the shot there will be a red line.So I started to think maybe I am not doing it right...from what I understand you give it in the butt(of course when she is sleeping) on the upper top and go in at a normal angle, I can't find my paper through. I tried it 2 days ago and went on a angle and the last 2 days she has been doing some new things. Yesterday she pushed my son's hands off her high chair and said "no" not really clear but it was a no. Then today she climbed on the chair and said up and also looked me right in the eye and started babbling...the babbling isn't new but she never looked me right in the eye and did it. I am wondering if I was giving the shot the wrong way?I am going to give it again tonight on the angle and see what happens THANKS, Jennife

Guest guest
Cheryl, Thank you for the reply. Is that why she was getting that line? I gave her the shot about a hr ago and while I was giving it to her she moved so she had some on her butt, I was worried that I didn't get it in so I did it again and the second time went fine. I am going to check and see if she has that line. I was putting it straight into her butt...man o man when they say that you learn something new every day they mean it. I am so sure that's how I was told to do it but then again my mind hasn't been right since all this started with my daughter. Thanks again, > > > I got a question please > > > > I started my daughter on B12 shots about 3 months ago and I haven't seen any big gains but I have noticed that sometimes on her butt where I gave her the shot there will be a red line.So I started to think maybe I am not doing it right...from what I understand you give it in the butt(of course when she is sleeping) on the upper top and go in at a normal angle, I can't find my paper through. Guest guest
Thanks everybody, I wasn't doing it the right way for THREE months.....not happy right now with myself. At first she wouldn't move but lately she has and then I don't get it in right so I am going to get that transdermal cream, Do you always get a little blood on the butt after? also do you have to grab a piece of skin while you are doing the shot or can she just be laying on her stomach and go in at a 30 to 45 degree angle? Guest guest
,When I was giving my son the shots I waited until he went to bed and was fast asleep. I pulled down his drawers and gave the quick jab. He would stir a bit and scratch at the spot I gave him the shot at and that is it. It was very easy and painless - for the both of us, lol. Guest guest
On Dr Neub--- site he gives directions. Just under the skin on the butt. Ginger B12 Shot I got a question please :)I started my daughter on B12 shots about 3 months ago and I haven't seen any big gains but I have noticed that sometimes on her butt where I gave her the shot there will be a red line.So I started to think maybe I am not doing it right...from what I understand you give it in the butt(of course when she is sleeping) on the upper top and go in at a normal angle, I can't find my paper through. I tried it 2 days ago and went on a angle and the last 2 days she has been doing some new things. Yesterday she pushed my son's hands off her high chair and said "no" not really clear but it was a no. Then today she climbed on the chair and said up and also looked me right in the eye and started babbling...the babbling isn't new but she never looked me right in the eye and did it.I am wondering if I was giving the shot the wrong way?I am going to give it again tonight on the angle and see what happensTHANKS,Jennife
