Guest guest
My sed rate has always been low. I was trying to find my lab work and all I could find was one which indicated a sed rate of 3. The C-reactive protein test results were 0.4 (normal range-0.00-0.80) so mine was well within normal range. Also have a question for everyone. My Red Cell count is always low. Doctors don't seem concerned about this, so neither am I, I just was wondering if anyone else has this too? Maybe a RP trait? A nurse on the autoimmune group said hers was always low too and that her doc said it was indicative of an autoimmune problem. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> A number of you responded too, that even in the worst of times, your sed rate never budged. Trentham did tell me that a low sed rate is sometimes seen in RP. Well, not normal really, exceptionally low: 1. (normal would be up to 40-50 for my age). My PCP had never seen one that low. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Carmela, This makes perfect sense to me! That's not say much is it!LOL I was told the simular stuff when I first was diagnosed. In fact the lab where I got the blood work done remembered me right off the bat! I was the lady with the off the wall blood. They took my blood and tech looked at it and personaly ran over to talk to the dr. due to it being weird. I have never been anemic (sp) with this disease. I am the exception to all the rules of RP I guess! Maybe I don't have RP after all!LOL I wish! Take care and thanks for the info.
