Guest guest
Hi – Hope someone can relate… recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroid disease. Good naturopath doctor has been attentive to my needs. However, my metabolism has tanked – if I am not working out 45 min + per day then I gain a pound or two – my weight keeps going up, not down. I am adding fat, losing muscle. I am a normally healthy person, not overweight – yet. I am looking into a special diet to help hypothyroid people lose weight. Ok – that’s the D-Word right there. I feel a little bit torn, I want to be eating the right things for my body – but not restricting and not feel like the food police are all around. I have successfully dropped dairy since I am lactose intolerant – but that seems a bit easier. Anyone else come to a happy place with special dietary needs and IE? I am a little worried about jumping back into counting carb, calories, grams etc. I had a last supper moment today – eating salty chips, because I know they are NOT allowed. L Thanks for your help, Amie
