As for Liberty medical insurance, they misinformed you about the Prodigy meters. They were carrying our products and then discontinued them. At present we have an agreement with them to carry Prodigy products again but I'm not sure when that will start. Ruth

Guest guest
I called the Prodigy Customer Service number provided by Ruth in the message below and got a rep who told me the software was developed but could not be released until FDA approval was received. This is the same thing I was told months ago when I bought my Prodigy meter and feels like one of those excuses a company gives when they cannot deliver something. I'm certainly not familiar with what all the FDA gets their fingers in but why would they need to approve software for extracting/storing data from a glucose meter. That seems to be over and above what they are charged with doing. I would welcome comments to straighten out my understanding of the FDA and this issue. Guest guest
Hi, I called DDI this morning to see about getting the software for the Prodigy meter. I was told the software wasn't ready yet and probably wouldn't be ready for a few more weeks. This has gone beyond the point of being ridiculous. I am seriously thinking of replacing the meter with something else. I don't think DDI takes bling diabetics seriously. I think the time has come to get another meter. Guest guest
Hi and all, Sorry about the inconvenience. My boss is clearing this up shortly. He is in a meeting. It appears there was a gap in the communication with tech support. Again, sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. Try it tomorrow and things should be cleared up. Thanks. Guest guest
I too purchased this meter with extra strips only to be disappointed with not even to purchase more strips locally. finally, I put away the prodigy voice and got another meter out of sure frustration. I even had my instructor to my home trying to get the readings and was disappointed there too. just a lot of promises to get disappointed. this was a very bad purchase in my book.
