Guest guest
I've had saline implants for 9 years. The first 8 years, I was healthy and had no major complications. A little over a year ago, I started having severe joint pains in my knees and spine and tendinitis in my feet. I've felt like I've had the flu for year, low grade fevers, chills, fatigue. I've had so many blood test, imaging tests and seen so many specialists I've lost count. None of them had any answers for me. One female rhuematologist told me to stop looking for a diagnosis, that I simply had chronic pain and I should learn to deal with it. It took me awhile before I suspected my implants. Why? because they were supposed to be safe, because these symptoms were not on the list of risks, because EVERY doctor I went to in the past year assured me that they were not the cause of my illness. I was very healthy, fit and active before this. My favorite hobbies were hiking, walking, dancing and yoga. Now even gentle stretching leaves me in too much pain to walk the next day. Now I hope more than anything that they are the cause of my illness. I'm going to have them removed in February. I want so badly to have my life back and I hope that I haven't done irreparable damage to my body. Although my biggest fear is that my illness isn't caused by the implant, I'd have to say, I'm not looking foward to having tiny, sagging boobs. It will be worth it, though and if I can get in shape again, I might feel better about my body than I do now with perky C cups. I'd love to hear from anyone in the Portland, Or area. The PS that is going to do my explant surgery is O'brien. The doctors on this website's list for Oregon have both retired.
