Guest guest
There are a number of recipes available for making your own homemade mouthwash. I will be doing this after reading about the concerns with mouthwashes containing alcohol. I've always felt that those store bought ones were a bit harsh on the soft tissues, and I've used diluted H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) instead. I've purchased the natural mouthwashes from my holistic dentist, but they are extremely expensive! It's just easy and cheaper to make them at home. Here's one recipe. You can get organic herbs at http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/Homemade Rosemary-Mint Mouthwash: • 2 cups distilled or mineral water • 1 tsp fresh mint leaves • 1 tsp rosemary leaves • 1 tsp anise seeds Boil the water, add herbs and seeds, infuse for 20 minutes. Cool, strain and use as a gargle/mouthwash. If you wish to make up a larger quantity, double or triple the recipe then add 1 tsp of tincture of myrrh as a natural preservative.
