Guest guest
Someone shared: " I do not have Medicaid or Medicare. " May we ask why not? If you did you would have more leverage with an insurance company to meet individual needs. Your medical supply place has specific contracts with meter and strip companies. They get a break doing it this way and it would cost them more to get an individual item for you. The offer to send you a new meter with a time change means they can bill your insurance company for it and earn more.. [ XB IC|XC
Guest guest
You must be on his insurance then. IF you are blind, you might qualify for SSDI. You don't have to be under his insurance. Might be worth looking at all the pros and cons. Guest guest
No, he doesn't have insurance. He gets SSDI and has Medicare. I pay for insurance privately. Guest guest
I'm somewhat ignorant about who qualifies for SSDI. Perhaps if you've never been employed, you don't qualify? If you do, as far as I know, you might as well make use of it. Medicare may not be the best insurance plan around, but it's decent. Guest guest
I suspect there's something going on with Prodigy and DDI. Advanced Diabetic Solutions nearly sent me a 90-day supply of Solo strips, with the V2 meter. I've been getting strips from them for the Prodigy Voice for about 2 years now. I don't know how they managed to think I was receiving supplies for the Solo meter. And, now, this company is telling you what Liberty Medical told me a couple weeks ago, that the Prodigy will no longer be available. I might suggest this theory: The Prodigy costs these companies more, in that the supplies are either more expensive, or they are not getting reimbursed properly. So, they are doing all they can to persuade users to use alternative meters and strips. Guest guest
Hi Chuck sorry to hear about the death in the family, and yes, I am with you on this one. I was not allowed to recieve my supplement check because I was married, and after having my sight taken away, after 2 years of being married, I could not collect my SSI(though I worked well 10 years), I did qualify for my SSDI, but the rep told me that if I was to cancell my marriage, then I would qualify for an extra $2000 , but since I refuse to do so, I am stuck with a amount that is so rediculous, that we are really considering divorcing just by paper, to get the help we need. still who know how that would last, it's a funny thing. hmmm..frown still, all in agreement here with you. sugar Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. ~Sugar a new member > > Someone shared: > > " No, he doesn't have insurance.
