Guest guest
Hi all! visited the HA preschool that is about an hour away. The good news is that the HA director, le, feels that will be just fine in a " regular " preschool in our own town so we don't have to drive an hour. The GREAT news is that if I narrow the field down to three, she will come here and observe all three preschools and give her opinion on which will benefit the most. She'll also come and observe/evaluate on a regular basis to make sure he stays " ahead of the game. " I thought that was pretty cool. I've got two really good recommendations for two preschools. One is a monisary (sp?) school that groups according to ability and not age level. The other has exceptional teacher that are VERY accomidation to " special needs. " It may be a battle to the finish. LOL Although I wasn't planning to put him in preschool before he lost some of his hearing, I know it will help socially more than anything. He's really shy until he knows you. It took several playgroup meetings before he really interacted. Wish me luck and any advice you have...pile it on!!
