Guest guest
Hi, , It always comforts me when I've had a day like you describe to know that all I have to do the next day to be right back on track is to wait to eat until I'm hungry. Often, if I've nibbled too much the day before, my body makes its own correction, and I don't get hungry until late in the morning. I wonder, too, if maybe recognizing you don't know how to handle stress (lord knows I don't, either), getting some help in that area isn't a good thing? Either read a book, or seek out counselling, or talk to a friend who seems to handle stress well? I know I turn to food when I'm under stress, and that just doesn't work now, does it? I'm thinking for myself here as much as you--I need to find better ways to handle stress, and just keeping on turning to the food is not the way. The fact that you wrote in to the list shows great courage and trust. You can do this--don't expect that each day will be IE perfect (talking to myself again on this one, too!). All best, Laurie wrote: >>>Any tips as to how to break this cycle? I'm trying to look at the positive side and recognize that at least I know what triggered these actions (stress), but knowing this didn't stop me from mindlessly, quickly overeating all day... I'm just already so scared to trust myself to know when and how much to eat, so whenever this happens, it shakes that trust even more :/ <<<
