Guest guest
After my " Ahhhhh!!, and my telling my Nada how I view the situation, which basically lets her know I'm not happy with her, she called me and in her happy voice, asked me if I wanted to go to lunch with her. O---M---G !! Let's do another Ahhhh tonight! Thanks for participating London! And by the way....I am a single parent, but he's out of the house now (27), and I can so relate to the trouble that happened as he grew older....only thing is, this I'm happy with....I raised him to feel safe to tell me how he feels, to be honest with me, and I've always spoken to him with respect, etc. (I promised myself that I would NEVER be like my Nada). So, as a result, he can walk away easily when she's insulting, speak his mind easily with her, and not dwell over it at all. As a matter of fact, he constantly tells me, " You know she's nuts....why do you act so surprised over what she says to you? " Gosh, ......I don't know. I'm working on it.
