MJ-I'm laughing, but it's a good thing. That's exactly how I felt when I first read the book. It was like, "Oh my word! Someone has actually put in print, what I'm just starting to think. hello all you intuitive eaters,

I finally got my copy of the IE book that people have been talking about here. My intuition told me to get it last fall when I first joined this group & of course, I listened BUT I didn't act on it so it took me another half a year of trying other methods until FINALLY I read Women, Food & God & it was working for me so I ordered the book that you are studying here. All I can say is WOW!!!! This book is a complete revelation to me. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!!!!

I don't understand why Oprah has not had & Elyse on her show talking about this book. Has she NOT read it? She couldn't have or things would be different for her. Can we do a write-in campaign to have her discuss this book on her new/last season. There are a lot of us in this group, I'm sure if we wrote in Oprah would listen & respond.

If I remember there is a suggestion area.

Thank you for starting the book study, I learn so much from them & am happy to finally have the book so I can participate & follow along.

There is a Facebook campaign to get Oprah to discuss HAES (Health at Every

In June, also submitted a video to get her own show on the Oprah Network.

Unfortunately, some other folks got millions of votes.

I was a bit flummoxed that IE hasn't appeared on Oprah myself in all of these

years. Geneen has appeared a few times now. One of the main reasons I felt

compelled to start the Eat. Move. Love. project (http://www.eatmovelove.com/) is

the fact that the Intuitive Eating principles have not received nearly as much

public exposure as I would have wanted. I had to wait until I was 30 years old

to find a set of principles that has help me learn how to take care of my body,

even though this book came out 15 years ago! I had no idea that I was even

looking for IE, until I stumbled upon the book accidentally online at the end of

2007.

BTW, if you are challenged by emotional eating or any " body bashing " thoughts,

When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies by Hirschmann and Munter is another

excellent book to read thoroughly and include on your developing IE journey.
