Hello everyone. Hope someone can help me out. My son is in Kindergarten and is largely recovered. He is at the top of his class academically, and is functioning on his own without an aide. There has been a chicken pox outbreak at his school and in his class. How dangerous are chicken pox for our kids? I am terrified of a huge regression. Should I keep him home from school? Thanks for any info. You guys know everything!Cam Pearson

I wish my daughter never had the vaccine. If I was in your shoes I'd have my kid

kissing that kid to get it! lol. Having chicken pox when your young is not

usually very severe and then they have natural immunity to it, not to mention

immunity to shingles which can be horrible. It seems like I read somewhere in

school it may build immunity to smallpox as well, God forbid that comes back

around. Not certain on that one, it may have been just cowpox that kept smallpox

at bay. Anyway good luck to ya!
