Guest guest Posted July 8, 2010 Report Share Posted July 8, 2010 I don't think I've really given up the diet mentality when it comes to chocolate. Nothing has power over me quite like chocolate does. I think my years of forbidding it and sneaking it has transformed this food into my drug of choice. I've a chocolate radar in my head - if there is chocolate in my house, it screams at me to eat it and all of it as fast as possible. So last weekend a friend gave both of my kids a chocolate bar. They brought them home and both declared that they didn't like it cause there were nuts. So as soon as they were in bed, of course, I ate them both and that triggered me to overeat the past few days. How do i neutralize a food as powerful as this is for me? I thought maybe because I never let myself have it around. So today I bought three chocolate bars and have them in the kitchen. Now however, all i can think about is that there is chocolate in my kitchen! I'm not hungry, so I'm writing this to distract myself. This is so silly!
