Guest guest
First off best of luck with your surgery on Monday!! Let us know how it goes. I too have a fainting/hyperventilation problem...but I blame mine on nerves/anxiety. Anything to do with blood or medical procedures or hospital situations period can put me in a panic and I usually end up having to sit down with my head between my knees holding a cold cloth to my forehead. First I begin to get really hot and break out in a cold sweat/get all clammy, then I see spots and my ears start to ring. I have only passed out cold one time and that was sure scary. (I was at a hospital visiting my friend's wife who just had a baby and they were talking about some medical procedure.) I too would be interested to know who else has this problem...I've been fainting since I can remember and was just dx with chiari malformation Jul 01. I also get very light headed and dizzy if I go long spells without eating. My blood sugar level always reads normal though. Take care! Kim L. I faint when the nurses first get me out of bed, so they keep me in longer . > > This even happened when my son was born and I didn't have surgery. > > Has anyone else had this problem? Is it from the chiari? I'm hoping it is, and I won't do it after my decompression next week. > > Thanks! > Cheri > > >
